Background/History- sona history (non-Balto related one):

Celeste was born in a small town, and was pretty much an average every day wolf that you’d find around. Her day of birth was the sixth of September, and she was born with parents that loved her dearly, and she was their first child, born a happy and healthy female puppy. Celeste grew up as one of those pups that loved to explore. When she was around 18 months old, her mother, Linda, gave birth to her second child that would become Celeste’s younger sister, Danielle. It took Celeste awhile to get used to her new playmate, but it wasn’t long before they became used to each other and began to form that sisterly bond that simply cannot be broken.

Celeste learnt that she must share her parents’ attention now; and her little sister needed just that extra bit of a looking after than she did. Celeste got a little jealous, but she was happy enough and never left out. She grew up pretty fast, learning new things along the way and taking every new day in her stride, doing her best to live life to the full. Celeste met her first best friend in a park when she could walk, talk and run. Her newly found friend’s name was Phoebe, and it wasn’t long before the two became best friends and would endlessly play together.

She grew up learning all the different skills in life and discovering the talents she was to inherit in it. Celeste learnt incredibly quickly and her parents sent her to a wolf nursery for younger pups, where she was to learn even more skills with other pups learning the same things, and after she’d finished this school, she’d move on to the next one in the list. In this small place that she was about to become a part of, she met even more friends which she realized where an important part of her growing up. Three friends in particular were ones that would play an even bigger role were Ella, Emma and also Phoebe who Celeste had met before (in the nursery). The four girls (including Celeste) became really good friends and were always there to help each other out, and every day went quicker than they’d expected. By this time, Celeste was determined to keep her friends.

Years went by pretty quickly for Celeste and her friends, she met new ones, played with her original ones and had complete fun, and was enjoying her infant years. When she moved up from Year 1 (the year after her first year) and was moved to Mr. Hillam’s class, her class that she has now first formed, and this was the time were she was finally going to show who she really was. Celeste was a shy type of girl, who never had the confidence in herself to speak up during anything, and she was always quiet when around people, or if she was chosen to speak a loud in class. She decided she was going to have to make the extra effort to make new friends, and also try to boost her confidence, however hard it was going to be. Slowly but surely, she began building more confidence and tried her best to mix with other young wolves in her class, she needed friends more than anything, because to learn you need to be happy.

Her mind and talents expanded and began to shine through more in her personality, and she began growing more popular with people, and decided to finally take on sport and sprinting. It was a blast for her when she realized that all it took was a little self belief to astonish everyone and herself. She had never been considered a fast runner in any way before, and hadn’t joined in playing fast running games with the boys and a few of the girls who were fast. Celeste then increased her list of friends, and was asked to be in running teams more in sport activities. She wanted to keep this talent with her, as she loved running, the wind in her face and the good feeling it brought for some reason. Enough to brighten every day.

Recently, back into her family life away from good times at school, Celeste found out that she had a brother, a step brother who her father was the father of, with a different mother. Mike had been married to the female for six weeks, before leaving her because she was an idiot, and a psychotic person to be around. He was banished from seeing his son, Samson, until Samson was nine and he finally was permitted to visit. Samson much preferred visiting and staying with his father and Linda, rather than staying with his mother. When Celeste and Danielle came into the family, Samson was overjoyed (he was a lot older then), and he was willing to become a great brother, as he loved them so dearly, and cherished every moment. Samson did often visit, but there was the time when he finally left on his own to explore the world that was around him, but he did visit from time to time. Celeste really enjoyed being around her brother, and soon she forgot that he was her half brother, she treated him just as she treated her sister, whether his mother was different or not. Her journey continued, and life at school was similarly getting better, she was meeting new people, but missing those who’d left to move somewhere else. She also felt sorry for those members of her class that had now lost best friends. However, they were growing up and were going to have to live up to a lot of expectations, now they were older and had more responsibility, and had to work with more trust. A time came when the class were counting on each other in a Olympic day, where they’d take part in a sport and activities to do with the Olympics, they did this at another school. Celeste was chosen to take part in the 100m sprinting event, and Lukas (a boy from her class) had just lost his race in the same event. Now, Cel’s heart was beating in her head, she couldn’t control it and every sense in her body had gone, she couldn’t hear what anyone was saying, until that whistle blew for the race to begin. Her paws and legs did the work for her, as she sprinted off, darting past everyone, she could hear everybody cheering her on. Their teacher, who was at the other side of the Astroturf watching James (Who was in Celeste’s class) compete in a throwing event. He had thrown the ball all the way to the other side of the Astroturf, and it had gone further than anyone elses, the teacher ran from there to where Celeste was running, she had just seen this blur overtaking everyone else. James, who was waiting for the result, had seen her too. Everyone around Celeste was now cheering, as she then crossed the finish a good way in front of the other girls competing. She couldn’t believe what she’d done, still panting, she walked her way over to everyone else, who congratulated her, she thanked them and wished them good luck in their events, before finding the energy to sprint over to where James was throwing, after her teacher had mentioned how well he’d done.

Now in their final year, Celeste and her class are determined to make the most of it, and share many laughs along the way, treasure memories and remember those times; and also to look forward to the future, whatever it may bring.

BALTO RELATED HISTORY (Fan character)

Celeste was born in the second litter of Aniu’s pups, except the Sire of the pups was a wolf this time, his name was Ice. She was really happy as a pup, her legacy unforeseen, Aniu hadn’t any intentions of telling Celeste of her brother, who was a heart-lifting hero of Nome. However, as she grew it wasn’t long before she was old enough to question this, and after her mother often being mysterious about such things, every time she asked about any siblings. Aniu had often replied “They’re nothing to worry your young head over,” and had also asked Celeste to think about other things. Despite this, Aniu knew one time she would have to tell her, because she was getting older now and needed reassurance of a sibling, a sister or a brother even to see. Ice would be the one who tried to take Celeste’s mind of these things, by occupying her with activities that would help her with vital life skills when she needed them. Ice and Aniu wanted to protect Celeste, as Aniu had lost her son Balto before after being pursued by hounds and hunters, and forced to leave him on an old and wrecked boat, she wanted to protect this second child of hers.

“Mother, I really want to know whether I have siblings or not,” remarked Celeste one day, “I plead you to tell me, mother. I feel alone at times, and this always crosses my mind about not having anyone to share my childhood with.”

“My dear Celeste, you did have brothers and sisters, but I’m afraid we lost them later on to the hunters, you’re the only survivor, dear. But, if you must know, you have an older brother from my first litter, which I parented with a husky, your brother’s name is Balto. He is now a major hero of Nome, and his story is heart-warming, I never thought leaving him on that boat would ever turn out to be good, in fact, it was the last thing I’d have done if I had the option to choose. I don’t want you to journey to find him, I couldn’t risk losing you too, Celeste,” Aniu replied modestly.

“You know at times I must disobey you, mother, and this is just one of those times. I love you mother, but I must try my best to find Balto, I want to see just one sibling of mine, I plead you mother, please let me go to find him, I promise I’ll return, and I swear to be careful,” pleaded Celeste.

“If you really must, but please be careful, Celeste,” Aniu replied “I need you to return, I don’t know what I would do without you.”

Celeste gave a farewell hug to her mother, before setting off to Nome, Alaska.

“I’ll see you soon, and I promise to return to you,” smiled Celeste before leaving.

She headed out into the unknown, heading for Nome. No longer did she have her mother’s reassurance and directions out here, she was trying something independently, and was determined to reach her brother, Balto. Apparently, or to what she had been told, her brother now had a mate and pups, and lived on a boat, although Jenna, his mate, lived with her owner, Rosie. Celeste decided she must find his boat first, before trying to find Jenna or the other pups.

Braving harsh winds, bitter cold and the other inhabitants of Alaska, Celeste was nearing her destination, as a sign that had engraved in it: NOME. She realised it wasn’t far to go, but slowly, her tiredness became overwhelming, and she fell to her feet in the harsh cold, she had gone without food and couldn’t have continued. She lay there, hungry and parched, she longed for help, and the freezing cold had numbed her legs. Out of the darkness, came a shadowy figure, a wolf like figure. Surely, Celeste thought this would bring her end, maybe the wolf would see her as easy prey, whether they were from the same kind or not. However, as it became clearer, she could see that he meant no harm.

“You look cold, and very tired,” began the figure, “Who are you, and where have you travelled from?”

“My name’s Celeste, I came to look for my brother, Balto, who is said to be the hero of Nome, I have never seen him before and sometimes I feel lonely as I’m the only child,” replied Celeste.

“Well, I’m Balto, let me take you back to Nome, and we can care for you,” smiled Balto. He carried Celeste back to Nome, where she made even more friends and joined in the fun there in Nome, Celeste having a great deal of fun. Jenna loved having Celeste in Nome, and it gave her time to bond with Balto’s little sister. After spending a year in Nome, Celeste left the town and said her goodbyes to return to her mother, and she was happier than she’d ever been before.

Balto relation: As you can see, she has both a sona history and a fan character history. In her fan character history, Celeste is the half sister of Balto, daughter of Aniu and Ice.
