Personality: Ataneq is a strict and powerful leader, a wolf with certain principals of which he allows absolutely no expetions, especially when it comes to the laws of the pack. He is ferocious to his enemies, but very loving and caring towards his pack and does everything to protect them, and their territory. He's a sharp wolf, who isn't fooled easily and it takes a while to gain his trust, but once you've earned it, he becomes your loyal friend and he'll do anything to help you. Ataneq's son, Atka, is his everything, and since Atka was the only pup to survive from the litter, he might sometimes appear a bit over protective towards him and while he only wants what's best for his only son, he may not have always done the right things. Ataneq however still has a good heart, he's a guy who just wants to keep his pack safe at any costs.

History: Ataneq was born to the beta pair in a small wolf pack, and throughout his childhood he was never satisfied with the rank his family was in. As he grew into a young adult, he grew more and more ambitious, and wished to lead a pack of his own one day. So, he left the pack and set out to find his destiny. Soon, he met a lone wolf by the name of Loki, who had gotten his paw caught in a bear trap. Ataneq helped to get his paw free, and Loki promised to help Ataneq whenever he'd need it in return. The two became friends, and once Ataneq had explained his plans of starting a pack of his own they started gathering followers. Finally, Ataneq's pack started growing, and he had also found a mate beside him, a female wolf named Eska. Him and Eska were a loved alpha pair, and after some time had passed it was revealed that Eska was expecting pups. All of the pack was excited and overwhelmed, and life seemed to have been quite perfect - until the day the pups were born. During the labor there were some serious complications, and three of the four pups were born dead. Eska, whom had grown very weak giving birth, sadly died a few days after, and Ataneq was heartbroken. But, he was still happy one of his pups had survived, and decided to dedicate his life to raising his only son, Atka, and showing him all the love and support he needed. As time went on, Ataneq watched Atka grow into a strong and handsome wolf, who he would happy to name the next alpha male after him one day. One day, Atka and Loki's son, Akiak brought a female wolf named Iluq to the pack, after saving her from a caribou stampede. Ataneq allowed her to stay in their pack, and decided to make her Atka's bethrothed. But much to his surprise, his son was not happy with this arragement, and neither was Iluq. Soon Ataneq couldn't help but noticing that Iluq and Akiak had quite and interest in each other, and after Atka begged him to make a compromise, he allowed them to become mates. For a while, life went on quite normally, but one day, Atka brought a visitor to the pack - a WOLFDOG. Her name was Kiska, and while Ataneq saw she and Atka were rather close, he could never accept a half breed in his pack. He told them Kiska would not be welcome to stay with the pack, and that he wanted her nowhere near his son. This caused a querrel between Ataneq and Atka, and now Atka was left with an extremely hard decision whether he'd leave with Kiska or stay with his pack.
