Description

Detail Charlie

Name: Charlie

Species: Grey Wolf

Gender: Male

Birth Date (day and month) 12th October

Age: Adult

Parents: Uknown breeding pair of wild wolves.

Siblings: Aniu/White Wolf

Personality: Charlie has a loving and protective character; he is willing to die for those he holds closest. He is fairly easy to befriend, but is careful of the friends he chooses, he is willing to do anything for his friends, as long as they are willing to do so for him.  As a gentle and charismatic male, he loves being himself and playing with his pups, he cares dearly for them and will do anything to maintain their survival. These characteristics make him one to need if ever in a life and death situation, as he tends to put the lives of others before himself.

Usually, Charlie does find it often hard to see reasons for himself to live, as he sees his own as unimportant. He’s had troubles with money, and now tries to hide his recent past life of wolf fighting. Whenever it’s mentioned to him, he’ll always try to change the subject. This can make him dishonest, a liar in many ways. He regrets his most recent years. Despite this, Charlie is mostly a loving and affectionate character, with a courageous heart.

Crush/Mate: Arizona © Me

Pups: Kodi, Pat, Splash, Tommy, Layla, Jack, and 2 unnamed.

Eye colour: Brown

Fur colours: Darkish grey, light crème, and a reddish-brown for his paws.

Friends: Arizona, Jewel, his pups, Joey.

Enemies: None

History:

Charlie was born in the outskirts of Nome, Alaska. His parents were two courageous wild wolves, and they taught him and his sister, Aniu, everything they needed to know about growing up, hunting and protecting themselves. Charlie learnt all of these skills with his sister by his side, Aniu being the slightly older one (Charlie was from the second litter). They would often adventure out together, Aniu always being the tough-cookie, and often making nearby animals think she was the tougher one. Charlie, however, seemed to always prove her wrong. They were the same, both as brave as each other, when one was left behind, the other would help, if one was in a tough situation with a larger wild animal, the other would be brave and risk their life for the other. Loyalty was what they had been brought up with, and they were never to be disloyal to anyone.

After a while, their parents realised just how they were beginning to become wild wolves at heart, howling in the mornings. Howling to each other if one got lost. Somehow, they would always find their way back to each other, and were the most inseparable siblings the two parents had ever known. One day, it seemed to all break apart, what had been known to be one of the most amazing families was about to fall into devastation.

Unfortunately for Charlie, he was left behind by accident, while his parents and Aniu were continuing to move. Nobody had heard him get stuck, but he was frantically panicking, his parents and Aniu to far away to hear his small cries. He couldn’t howl because a vine was twisted around his throat, and if he tried, he might end up choking. Aniu was gone, and so were his parents. Charlie expected himself to be alone, however, he wasn’t alone at all. Beside him were a group of National Reserve Rangers, they had been ordered (as part of a Science Experiment), to take two wolves, both from the North American continent or nearby, to Australia to see if they could survive. Charlie was unlucky to be picked out by them, as he was one of the only wolves as broad as daylight, and, proving to be the easiest to catch. With gentle hands, the rangers unwound the vine from around young Charlies’ neck, and crated him. Desperate, he howled as loud as he possibly could, hoping Aniu and his family would hear him. Far away, Aniu’s ears pricked, she heard the cries of her brother, and she tried to run, to rescue him along with their parents. Soon, his howls faded away, he had been silenced somehow. Aniu couldn’t find Charlie without hearing his howls, and neither could Aniu and Charlie’s parents. Reluctantly, Aniu’s parents walked on, with Aniu padding behind.

Meanwhile, Charlie was in a crate, being sent across to the other side of the world. Being held hostage was no fun, especially when he wanted to be free. As he was placed on the Cargo, he really wished that he’d been concentrating on where he was going, so he didn’t end up in this situation. However, the past wasn’t able to be changed, therefore, Charlie was stuck where he was. The plane’s doors closed fully, and Charlie was now alone, in his cage. There were two animals beside him, one a koala and another a wolf, but she wasn’t that of Charlie’s species. Charlie, however, didn’t get a good look at her or the koala either.

After 24 hours of flying, the cargo landed in the Australian airport. Charlie, along with the other two, got lifted off of the plane and carried to a small Jeep. There, he was placed in the back with the koala and the other wolf. Then, he got a good look at his fellow travellers. The other wolf wasn’t a Grey wolf, but Charlie recognised her as a rare Red wolf, she had gorgeous markings, much more complicated than his own. He didn’t seem to mind, and the koala was a regular soft-looking grey & white small bear like creature, but Charlie wasn’t the familiar with the animal. Without warning, the Jeep came to a halt, and the Rangers took Charlie and the other two out of the car, opening their cages slowly. Charlie slowly padded out, he was the braver one and made the first move. Reluctantly, the other two seemed to follow. Charlie sniffed at the ground, and realised he was miles away from his original home. However, the beauty of the country overcame him. As the young red wolf female stepped out, gave the land a quick sniff, before darting off at the speed of light. Charlie watched as she fled, and then watched the koala head off into the trees. Uninterested, he headed off in the opposite directions.

After a few years, Charlie met up with the female Red Wolf again. Recently, he’d been involved in Wolf fighting sports, and recent money problems that were involved with the council dingoes in Australia. Charlie had been fighting dingoes and receiving a lot of money for winning fights. He was 19 at the time, so he wasn’t much of a kid, but not that much of an adult either. Charlie had been out hunting, and wasn’t admiring his changed self to what he used to be. He was sat, alone, playing with his food beside a stream when she appeared. Charlie was the one to speak first.

“You’re the wolf from years ago, when we were in crates with a koala?” wondered Charlie out loud.

“So?” replied the female wolf, “What’s your point?”

“I just wanted to say “Hi” you don’t seem THAT pleased,” answered Charlie, shrugging a little. “My name’s Charlie, by the way.”

“Arizona, and nice name, Charlie,” she replied, smiling for once.

“Yours is lovely too,” replied Charlie, “Fancy going for a walk along the beach?”

“Sure, since we’re the only wolves here,” she smiled.

Charlie and Arizona headed off, to play in the water. Frolicking and splashing, jumping the waves, dunking each other under the water. Playing like they were young puppies. Charlie began to have mixed feelings the more he was with Arizona, but he still didn’t stop the fighting that was earning him the money. The Australian council didn’t consider him that much of a help, but ever since Arizona joined in to help the council, they began to see other side of Charlie, the non- wolf fighting side. The Australian council began to clear things up with him, and the dingoes becoming less weary of him, and would often try to interact with him. Charlie did his best to answer politely, and not kick out as he would have been used to in the ring. After a few days, he became known in among the dingoes, but everyone made sure he was kept in check just in case of outbreaks. After spending years there now, Charlie began to see Australia as the home, his true home. He never forgot about Aniu and his family, and told Arizona once about how he’d ended up on the plane, and then she’d shared her side of the story. Charlie and Arizona’s bond began to strengthen throughout the years, and they eventually became mates. Arizona gave birth to 8 beautiful pups, and Charlie became a proud parent. The loving side to Charlie, the loyalty he once had before. He was the one who took the pups to the racing practises, to watch his sons and daughter run. However, Charlie had to sit and watch them, but feeling sorry for Pat as he wasn’t able to join in. Charlie, however, was good at lying. Even though he hated to lie to his son, it was for the best, it would be evil to make Pat give up before he’d even tried. When Pat was taken away by the Rangers, Charlie made a desperate run to rescue him. His paws hurrying along the ground, he’d never felt the need to run as much as he felt the urge to now ever in his life. He got incredibly close, so close he could reach out, but, after a while, the dart he was expecting hit him, knocking him into a sleep. He fell, unable to stand on his feet, and was knocked out for a few minutes. When he awoke, he reluctantly walked back to his den. Now, he had to break the news to the other pups. Charlie had again lost something else he loved, which reminded him of the time he lost Aniu, but this time, he was in the position of her, and Pat was in the position of himself. Arizona was devastated, but told Charlie that needed to remain calm around the pups. He decided to raise the ones that he had left, and put total faith in that Pat would return one day. Charlie has never forgotten any of his early memories with his family, and longs to know if they are still living well, wild and out hunting freely.
