Personality: Erin is a shy but well tempered female. Sometimes she acts a bit irrational mostly when something reminds her on the fire that killed the half of her family.

Likes: wind ruffling trough her fur, sunlight shining trough the forest, spring and fall, watching the northern lights, her family

Dislikes: heat, rain, being reminded on her past, fire, humans

History: Erin was born in a litter of four in Aleu´s pack. Erin had a very happy puphood. She loved her family more than everything else. She was a very active, playful young wolf.  As she was about nine weeks old there was a forest fire caused by humans. A campfire was out of control. Soon the den was caught in fire and smoke. Nobody was able to see anything. There was no escape. The pack fled heading to their winter territory. Only Aleu stayed behind. She wanted to save her best friend’s family. She made her way into the smoke filled den. She dragged one female and the only male of the litter outside and told them to run, following the pack’s scent. Then she went back inside to get the others but she was too late. The fire already burned the roots of a tree which where holding a huge rock. The rock got loose and fell down burying Salia, her mate and one of Erin’s sisters underneath. There was no hope for them. They died immediately. But there was still Erin; she wasn’t injured besides some scratches. Aleu tried to drag her out but she made no move. She was just staring at the rock and the buried bodies. The shock made her numb, unable to move. Just as Aleu bit her neck, hard, she realized that they had to go away. Both managed to get out of the cave before it completely collapsed. As they reached the winter territory she still couldn’t get what had happened. She was sitting at the territory´s borderline for about 3 days still hoping that the rest of her family might survived. But after these 3 days she gave up hope and stopped waiting for them. Now it came clear to her. She really lost the half of her family. Nobody knew that her brother and one of her sisters survived. Realizing that fact made her almost going insane. As she was about 9 months old she didn’t want to stay with the pack any longer. She wanted to forget what happened. So she ran away as the moon was high. She ran as far as she could. At sunrise she found a small den nobody seemed to live in. She stayed there and started to live on her own. Soon she found an abandoned pup and adopted it.

Relation to Balto: Erin was born in Aleu´s pack. Aleu saved her life as a fire killed some of her family

Other: I created her while listening to the song “Erin” by Jill Hennessy, so guess why she got that name….
