Name :: Hathor {pronounced :: HA-thore}

About her name :: Hathor was the goddess of Egypt, which is where Salukis’ origin from. So Hathor was given the name because her blood is Egyptian {and English}.

Parents :: Her father was a pure Border collie and Mother was a pure Saluki, both owned by breeders.

Siblings :: Hathor was born into a litter of five, like most puppies.

Likes :: Chewing on rubber things, warmth, being complimented, pats, taken out for walks, going places she hasn’t been to before, being treated, changes, being cooed to, scratches behind the ear, the smell of clean washing that’s just come out of the washing machine, being inside on wet days, being lazy, a good game, logical games, being creative, making things up, paint, getting dressed up by her owners, orange leaves, sun-showers, grey but warm wind days, blue sky, sparrows and cute things.

Dislikes :: being soaked, freezing, don’t being able to spit something out, being ignored, doing the same thing every day, being bored, feeling dirty, biting her tongue, dogs who drool, lightning, nightmares, animals that are much bigger than her, playing really boring games, waking up and not knowing where she is, forgetting things, not remembering the right word, being sore/hurt, back stabbers, ‘friends’ that laugh at you, being sneered at and being humiliated.  

Personality :: Friendly, she makes friends very quickly, but loses them just as fast. She can be kind of ignorant and lazy, but she’ll never refuse a game of fetch. She is very sarcastic, and often gets told off for rolling her eyes. She’s not necessarily outgoing, but she does like being in company of those she trusts or likes. If there were a scale, 100 being outgoing and 0 being shy, Hathor would be 50. Hathor always answers questions logically, no matter her belief. She’ll always say what really happened. Though if someone lies, she’ll tend to go along with it. Though Hathor can have lazy days, she also has days where she’s extremely hypo. Hathor can be stubborn.

 

Appearance :: She has long legs and skinny build of a Saluki, but a furry coat and cleaver brain of a Border collie. She has bright green eyes, which can sometimes appear to be blue. She is known for being naturally beautiful, not creepy unrealistic pretty… 

 

Accessories :: Hathor was given a brown leather collar when she left England. On the collar there is a little tag that says; “Hathor, Goddess of sand and sun” When she arrived in Alaska, she was given another tag that says; “Hathor, Goddess of snow and wind”

 

Story ::  {overview format} Hathor was born on a dog farm, in England, with five siblings. Four males, and two females {including herself}. All of the pups were trained at 4 months to do something different. Her siblings became Guide dogs, Herding dogs and Search dogs. But Hathor became something different, a lurcher. A lurcher is a Sighthound, a dog who spots prey and kills it neatly, cross with a working dog. But in England they weren’t in need of a Hunting dog, so her owners set travel up for her. Hathor trained for another four months before she left. A week after she turned eight months old she was put on a ship and sent away. 

The trip was very long. Hathor fell sick many times, and wished they would arrive. When the boat did arive, it pulled up in a bay of a little town called Nome.

{detailed format} Hathor was taken in by a young man. He was a hunter. One afternoon the man called his beloved dog, when she came he gave her a pat and they set off. He took Hathor into a near by forest and told her to go ahead. Hathor knew what she had to do even though she didn't speck human. Hathor slammed her nose to the ground and searched for something. She caught a smell in no time. It slightly confused her, it smelt like dog but it was wild...like prey. She shrugged and barked at her human, telling him there was prey close by. He understood and came closer, Hathor sniffed again, she could now smell two of the creatures. Her owner went ahead slighty, he left Hathor's vision. Hathor sat down, her job was now done. Just as she was about to lay down, a scream shot through the trees. Hathor sat up and ran to her human. He was lying on the ground wiping his face. Hathor was about to rush over to him and bark meaningless thing to him, but she noticed a large dog snarling at Hathor's owner. And just behind him was another one, but this one was kind of dumbstruck. The dog looked up and saw Hathor, stopped growling and grinned...grinned? Hathor shook her head in puzzle. when she stopped the two were gone. Hathor's human muttered something and wiped down his pants. Hathor now came up to her owner and gave his hand a lick. He was slightly startled, then smiled. Then he started walking away. But Hathor didn't follow, instead she followed the tracks of the 'dogs'. She soon found them. "Ah, hello!" Hathor shouted. The male turned and spoke, "hello"

"Who-what are you?" Hathor asked.

"wolf-dogs" the male laughed.

"wolves? are they wild animals?"

"yes..."

"oh, so you are will and domestic!" 

The female spoke up this time, "What is your name, dog?"

"Hathor" Hathor trotted closer to the two,"And yours?"

"I'm Aleu, and that," Aleu pointed to the other wolf-dog, "is my dad, Balto"

"...Balto, where have i heard that name?..."

"He saved heap of kids by getting medicine from a place that was ages way"

"Ah! That's right"

 

Etc...

 

Hathor became good friends with Aleu and Balto. Though she disliked Jenna a lot, Jenna disliked her back more. 

 

One day Hathor went to find Aleu, but she wasn't at the Boat so she guess she was at her Mothers. When she got to Jenna's house, the dog was lying on the grass alone. "erm...is Aleu here?" muttered Hathor.

"Nooo," Jenna replied lazily, "She's at her fathers..."

"No she isn't" 

Jenna got up and frowned, "Yes she is! Now go away, your ruining my Sunday" Growled Jenna. Hathor shook her head and started to walk away, but not with out winning; "Whatever you arrogant show off" and with that she ran away. 

 

After a while Balto returned, only to tell Hathor that Aleu had left to alpha a pack of wolves.
