Personality: Iridium isn't much like his father, Steele. He doesn't care for glory, fame, nor for lusting after the prettiest girls. He mainly likes to keep to himself, or be around his good friends. Hes not very outspoken, so he keeps his opinions to himself. He isn't much of a leader, and usually follows Kodi, his bestfriend around town looking for mischief. He's shy, but he isn't afraid to have fun.

Likes: Sled races, hanging out with Kodi, quality time with his dad, sleeping, warm summer nights, staying up later than usual to take walks on the shoreline, and his master.

Dislikes: small places, large crowds, flashing lights, having to wake up early, skipping meals to sleep later, when his dad acts like a fool, the thought that Jenna could possibly be his mother, bears, and Boris.

History:

As a kid, Iridium got lots of questions about his origin, and where he came from. Usually, Steele was always there to defend him, which brought their bond close. Despite Iri's est efforts, Steele refused to tell him who his mother was, or why she wasn't around. Growing up, he didn't have many friends because his father kept him away from all the dogs his age, so he spent his hours chasing his tail, sleeping, or staring at the walls of his kennel until his dad came home.They didn't spend a lot of time together during the day, but Steele always managed to make up for it during the night, when they'd have their serious talks, and eventually fall asleep together. 

When Iri sparked maturity, he led his own life around the small town, only coming into contact with his father on his breaks. Seeing what his dad did for a living excited him. He knew he wanted to sled race, but wasn't sure if he could. What he wanted more than anything was a friend. That's when he met Kodiak, a red and white husky, whom he immediately clicked with. They often snuck into the meat lockers together, and eventually became the best of friends, and their bond seemed unbreakable. When Balto learned of Iri's heritage, he forbade Kodi to see or speak with him. Kodi didn't understand, at his age. He didn't understand why he put the sins of his father off on Iridium, because he'd done no wrong to anyone. 

Balto's prohibition of their friendship didn't stop the two from meeting in secret, until Kodi got a job on the Mail team. Their meeting became less and less frequent, until they completely ceased. Iridium was determined to join the Mail team and keep his bestfriend, and he did just that. Steele didn't like the fact that his only son chose to be friends with a mutt, but he tried his best to look past it, for his sons sake. 

Eventually, Balto gave up on trying to keep the two separated, seeing as it only prompted more sneaking around, but he kept his eyes closely trained on Iri. He knew that he and Steele had close to nothing in common, so it was easy to overlook him. Being on the mail team, and finally having a friend to confide in was all Iridium could ever hope for. He soon cut close ties with his dad, unable to bear the constant smoldering looks he cast at Kodi whenever he saw him. He decided to go by Jeremiah, instead of Iridium, as he'd always hated the name- saying it was "a mouthful."
