Personality: Jewel is a bit of a tomboyis girl, and not one of those females who just sit around and wait for their dream prince to come. She is a girl of actions, and she likes to express herself by sound effects, like growls or tail wags. Jewel isn't very agressive, but if you make her angry, she will bare her teeth at you, whether you're a complete stranger or someone she knows. She loves to excercise, and is very athletic, and good at keeping herself fit, also she is an excellent fighter, who knows how to defend herself, but only uses her teeth and claws in very extreme cases, otherwise she thinks fighting and violence aren't an answer to anything, and that it only causes more trouble. Jewel is basicly a kind and sweet girl, but she only shows her tough side to those she doesn't fully trust, and it takes pretty much to get her trust.

History: Jewel and her 10 minutes younger brother Zephyr were born to two loner wolves, who lived high up in the mountains near Nome. Being the older sibling, Jewel was always in charge of looking after her brother, who had a rather annoying habit of getting into trouble by most of times. As they got older, Jewel's father began to teach them all the facts about life, and also how to defend themselves from enemies and how to survive on their own one day, Zephyr wasn't all that enthustiastic about starting a pack of his own, but Jewel was very excited and she couldn't wait to be old enough to start her own life. When they reached adulthood, Jewel and Zephyr said goodbyes to their parents, and they both left to start their own lives. Jewel and Zephyr nuzzled each other, wishing well, and they both went to different directions. But as Jewel was wandering the forests alone, she got attacked by a bear, who would've killed her for sure if it hadn't been for a dark grey male wolf who came to her rescue and chased the bear away. Jewel thanked him for saving her life, and asked what his name was, but the male was rather hesitant to introduce himself, and told her she should be more careful where she walked and to avoid the bear's territories. She did find out his name was Lucius, but before she could say anything else, he just told her she'd be better off alone, and left. Jewel was left rather confused, but continued her journey. By a funny coinsidence though, she bumped into Lucius again couple of days later, and couldn't help asking him why he was so determined to live all alone and isolate himself from others. He simply explained to her, that by staying on your own was the best way to stop you from getting hurt, and this made Jewel realize he must've had some real traumatic experiences. So, no matter how hard Lucius tried to pursue her to just leave him be and keep on with her own life, Jewel was determined to find out what had made him so unsocial and wanting to chase everyone away from him. Finally, when Lucius realized no matter how hard he tried to push her away and she still wouldn't leave, he decided to give up and told her how his adoptive father Niju had been murdered, and how his best friend had betrayed him and taken over his pack and territory. After hearing his story, Jewel decided to show Lucius that there was still good things left in life, and that you just had to know how to recognise them and that you should never let bad things take control.

Relation to Balto: Has a somewhat strange friendship with Niju's adopted son Lucius.
