Personality: Jutta is very determined and courageous. Like her older sister Desna, she is a strong leader and very intelligent. However, she is better at thinking things through than Desna. She has a good sense of right and wrong and feels most satisfied when both sides meet a compromise instead of just one winning over the other. She secretly wishes she were future leader of the pack rather than Desna, but chooses not to be vocal about it so as not to cause conflict.

Likes: Hunting, swimming, playing, butterflies, nighttime walks, summertime

Dislikes: The cold, ice, being lost or in danger, feeling overshadowed

History: Jutta was the second-oldest child of Hotah and Nayeli. From a young age she showed signs of a strong she-wolf and it was clear she was going to be a great contribution to whatever pack she became a part of when she got older. Growing up, she often felt that she was living in her older sister Desna’s shadow, as Desna was destined to be the pack’s future leader one day simply because she was the oldest. Jutta secretly wished she was future pack leader instead, as she felt she was a lot more level-headed than Desna, and other than that, was pretty good at all the same things Desna was good at. However, this was a secret she kept pretty much to herself, her younger sister Elisapee whom she was very close with, and her best friend Nini. 

    As she got older, she constantly kept getting pushed to the side as Desna trained to become pack leader. She felt that all she heard from her parents, especially her father, was “Desna this, Desna that.” She wanted her own chance to shine. There was one person who saw her, though - Nini’s older brother Eyak, who had a thing for Jutta. One night, Jutta and Eyak went out for a walk under the moonlight together, and Jutta spilled to Eyak how she felt like she was living in her sister’s shadow and how she wished she were pack leader instead. Desna, who was out on a late night hunt, overheard this, and broke out into an argument with her sister. But their loud argument caused a caribou stampede, and the two sisters plus Eyak had to escape fast. Jutta and Desna put their argument aside and worked together to escape, but along the way, Eyak got trampled and was in critical condition. The sisters had to find shelter and work together to save Eyak’s life which was on the line. Jutta came up with the plan to stay and nurse Eyak back to health, while Desna went out to try and lead the stampede away from pack territory. The sisters each did their part, and in the end, Desna protected the pack, and Eyak was able to miraculously make a full recovery.

    Desna apologized to her sister for arguing, and felt that perhaps Jutta would be a better pack leader after all. Jutta didn’t want Desna to give her dream up, but Desna insisted. So, Jutta became pack leader once she was of age, and once she became mates with Eyak, they ruled the pack together. Desna, on the other hand, was still able to use her pack leader skills - she was appointed into a nearby pack that was in need of a new leader, and she enthusiastically stepped up to the position. So, both sisters got what they wanted in the end.
