Species: Samoyed
Parents: TBA
Siblings: TBA
Mate: Yukon
Pups: Rose, Violet, Daisy, Poppy
Personality: A bit of a cynic, but only because she’s afraid to get hurt by others. Additionally, she has a hard time getting close to people because she’s afraid they’ll just leave her the way her old owners did. She’s quite stubborn and prideful, and doesn’t like to admit when she’s struggling. In the first few months or so following her abandonment, she was very withdrawn, distant, and anxious, but as time went on, she went back to her normal self- fun-loving, determined, and extroverted.
Likes: Running, sledding, snow, eating, warmth, shelter
Dislikes: Being alone, her old humans, bullies, the wilderness
History: Lily was born on a breeder farm in Nome to two Samoyeds. At eight weeks she was adopted by a family of four. Lily lived a happy life; the children always played with her, and she was treated with care by the adults. She wasn’t popular or really sought after by the boys, but had a good circle of friends. However, when she was an adult, her comfortable life as she knew it took a turn for the worse.
Her family had to move to Anchorage, and would be moving into an apartment building that didn’t allow dogs. So, instead of giving Lily away to trusted owners, they brought her into the woods and left her there to fend for herself. Lily felt confused and betrayed as she watched her family’s car drive away for the final time, and she knew her life would never be the same. For the next few days or so, she remained in the wild, but it was far from easy. She was terrible at hunting, and her diet only consisted of small fish if she was lucky to even be able to catch them as they swam in the creek. Then, one day, Lily passed out due to hunger. A little while later, she woke up next to a red wolfdog who had come to her aid after exploring in the woods and seeing her unconscious. Lily insisted she didn't need help and tried to get up, but she collapsed onto the ground. The wolfdog, who introduced himself as Yukon, insisted he help her, and Lily was so hungry and tired that she gave in and agreed.
Yukon was able to pry Lily’s story out of her; after finding out she was abandoned by her owners, he knew he needed to help. He brought her to the vet to get her paw bandaged, and then led her to an old boat that his father used to live in before he was taken in by Duke the pilot. Lily was embarrassed to be receiving help from a stranger, but secretly she was grateful. Yukon came around every day after that to check in on Lily and see how she was doing, and Lily let her barrier down and finally started to open up to Yukon. The two started to become good friends, and Yukon even helped Lily to find a home with a musher who gladly accepted her onto his sled team. Over time, Yukon and Lily fell in love and became mates, having four daughters.
