Personality
Serene is incredibly optimistic and bubbly while also managing to be overwhelmingly lazy and apathetic towards work. She's outgoing, but because her overt friendliness coinsides with her constently upbeat persona she is seen as eccentric and overzealous most of the time, which is the main reason she doesn't have many friends besides Kodi. Under it all, Serene is not at all faint of heart, suprisingly courageous, and even a jack-of-all-trades despite her work-shy personality.

Biography
Serene was originally the second-eldest of her mother's litter of six, but as of now she is the youngest. Since birth, Steele set high standards for their future careers that bordered on ridiculous in Serene's eyes. She was not as invested in sledding as her brother, Serj, and often resorted to drastic methods to get out of training: fainting, feigning sprained limbs, and even pretending to be dead. As a teenager, she matured, but she never changed her ideals like Steele believed she would. Serene was more interested in racing freely than in competitions, and under the cover of Serj she snuck out frequently to race street dogs, reasoning that if her father was going to decide her future then she would prepare herself in her own way.

Her owner took Serene, Serj, and Steele out for a walk around town when they came across Balto and his own kin. Serene was not entirely smitten by Kodi, but was more intrigued by his aloof and nervous personality. And, of course, since Steele forbid her to interact with Balto or his family, it was only in her nature to do the exact opposite. She told Steele she wanted to try to get a place on the mail team, and when try-outs for a new sled dog came out Serene blew away the competition. She was placed by Kodi and earned herself an eccentric reputation with the others and was eventually forced to position at the back of the team, effectively separating her from the group as a whole and Kodi himself. For a while she was disappointed at being isolated, but Dusty eventually approached her and they hit it off, even though she was a bit put off by Serene's hyperactive personality. Now both blossoming young adults, Serene was officially introduced to Kodi, who had also matured from being so nervous and was a structured, organized workaholic. A bit boring for Serene's taste, but she was enchanted by this new Kodi and fell in love with him dizzyingly fast.

Serene's gradually requited feelings for Kodi were soon brought into question by Serj, who warned her that her carefree lifestyle would soon clash with Kodi's diehard work ethic. She was confused when Serj refused to support her relationship because of the eventuality that their father would find out and encouraged her to cut Kodi loose. Serene stopped talking to Serj and even her father after this, effectively making Steele suspicious and her mother worried.

Serene refused to be seen at the show where she would be sold to some fancy musher and stole away to spend time with Kodi. Upon being spotted, this sparked a confrontation between her and her father. Kodi intervened and was knocked to the side as Serj arrived. Betrayed, Serene nearly attacked Steele but was stopped by Serj, who managed to reason with Steele and let Serene and Kodi go.

Serene left her house and moved in with Kodi and the mail team. She sees her family on occasion and has reconciled with her father but has no desire to return home. She hopes to have puppies one day(mainly because it will hopefully keep her out of work).
