Disposition: Tara's prime concern is maintaining her status as mate to the lead dog. She's incredibly competitive with other females and can be dangerously devious. She often uses her "power of persuasion" on Tonrar, which is primarily why he and Roscoe's friendship shatters. Tara can successfully manipulated the weak-minded to bend to her liking. She knows she's pretty and can be very conceited, but is always worried that some other female might endanger her place as #1.

History: Tara and Roscoe (Balto's father) had something strong going before he went missing in a accident and was assumed dead. Although she was emotionally devestated, Tara's desire to restore her position was paramount. So when Roscoe's clumsy best friend (Tonrar) became lead dog, Tara siezed the opportunity to claim him without worrying about what her failure to grieve Roscoe looked like to others. Then when Roscoe does return, Tara is caught in her own web and assumes that Roscoe will take her back. When he discovers her true nature, Tara is furious at his refusal to succumb to her charms and sets a plot that will destroy Roscoe.
