Rendered - Heavily modified Steele. Wizard's face is broader and thicker, his ears larger. He also has a larger, more prominent neck. Wizard is also taller and more muscular than Steele, with longer legs. 

Personality - Wizard was a total flirt and definitely a ladies man. He was a smoothtalker, and could talk his way out of (or in to) very nearly every situation. Very good at making wisecracks, and he loved to goof around with his teammates. He also had no concept of time, and was always in a rush. When the team had meetings, he'd be the last one to show up and the first to leave. Despite this, he was surprisingly very patient and lenient with others. 

Likes - Females, going to new towns and meeting new dogs, travelling, warm things ; like fire, his teammates, winning races, making wisecracks. He also enjoyed meeting his / the team's fans; human or canine. 

Neutral towards - Pups. 

Dislikes - Ramone's snippy attitude, having to be Ramone's partner on the team, when he is caught with another female by one of his many girlfriends. 

Biography -

Wizard was bred to become a hotshot racer. All of his siblings were, and all of them had some sort of eye-catching, mystical name assigned to them. Wizard was never very keen on his name, and preferred the nickname of Wiz. Of course, his siblings never listened to this, and taunted him endlessly. When the time came around to be adopted, Wizard could not wait to get away. Like many of the mushers that had gathered, there was one that had brought a dog with him. Strangely, this dog was more of a pup than anything with gawky legs and fly-away fur. The young dog held his head high though, even as the older huskies around him scoffed. Wizard liked this charisma, and when he was sold he was pleasantly surprised to be walking alongside the husky he'd spotted earlier. They became friends, and every few weeks it seemed like more dogs were being added. Wizard was a bit overwhelmed by this, but in the end he got used to it. The seemingly endless stream of sled dogs ended when a disgruntled siver husky filled the last position. 

The team was finally able to train, race, and subsequently travel. Wizard was absolutely mesmerised by all the females he saw in the first town. In Fairbanks, he'd never really left the fenced off area next to the kennel and had only seen a few females that weren't his teammates. He became smitten with more than a few, by this time the team had gone on the move again, to another town. Wizard realized that due to the travelling the team was doing, he could have more than one mate and nobody would be none the wiser besides him. His team, however, quickly found out about this and typically taunted him whenever they reached a new town. This was more true for Ramone, the dog he was always hitched next to, than anyone. As this was going on, the team's fame had grown considerably; they had become the team to beat. This only helped Wizard out even more in the love department, he now only had to mention he was a famous sled dog and he could pretty much get any fan he wanted. 

After a few season of this, a new promotional race was introduced. The winner would get a substantial money prize, and to mark their success, the lead dog of the winning team would get a collar with large gold pieces. The team had to strategize, they were the youngest team on the ballot and were considered underdogs. To Wizard's surprise, many of the older teams cheated in the race; he saw one try to snap at Gizmo's feet and slammed into the dog himself. Wizard made himself the scapegoat for the pain in that race, but only if it was happening where he could reach it. He knew Gizmo couldn't handle pain, and would try to buffer most of it as he most definitely could. The only thing that really bothered Wizard, as it always did, was Ramone's constant whining about the race. After a long, hard race it was clear that they would win; most of the other teams were far behind. Once the Golden Collar was won, Wizard found himself being studded out as a breeding dog. This only happened for short periods of time, often in the off-season, but it continued throughout the rest of his career. Of course, Wizard was happy to oblige. 

Things changed for Wizard on one day in late winter. It was one of the last training runs of the season, and it was considerably shorter than many of the previous ones ; only a few miles out of Fairbanks. About a mile away though Chase came to an abrupt halt, which sent the whole team crashing behind him. Wizard only had to look up to see why; a large, and angry, looking bear was blocking the path ahead. Chase and Archie began quietly bickering, but the bear didn't officially notice the team until the musher yelled for Chase to move. With a roar, it took off towards Chase and Archie. Wizard silently willed the black and silver huskies to move, but the didn't. In horror he watched as the bear struck Archie, and Chase wriggled out of his harness to bolt away. Wizard, frozen, watched as Archie was attacked again; the bear slashing at the husky's face. Gizmo, was trying to pull the team to freedom was next, the bear just hit him and he fell. Penny leapt onto the bear, pulling the team with her, but Wizard and Ramone put their brakes on and her harness snapped, sending her loose. Suddenly, Chase was back, and snarling at the bear who had decided that the black husky was better than the rest of the team. Wizard looked to Ramone, who was in a daze and staring at his fallen teammates, and then pulled the team out of there. He couldn't save them all, but most of them was better than nothing. 

Wizard kept telling himself that as the team waited for their fallen teammates in the old kennel they lived in. During these few hours, Wizard became the leader of the ramshackle band of dogs and kept everyone relatively calm. The calm was broken when the rescue team returned with Archie, Penny, Chase and Gizmo. The only one who would ever race again was Penny, Archie was now a liability, and Chase and Gizmo were both dead. This meant for some serious restructuring in the group. Wizard was definitely sad to see Icarus and Zero go, but was only a bit dismal when Ramone was taken. He'd spent enough time with Ramone for an eternity. He was surprised when his musher made him the lead dog. Apparently larger lead dogs were in, and despite all the dogs he'd added, he couldn't find one bigger that Wizard. Wizard had a few priorities in mind, as he always did. One was to not get caught by any of his girlfriends, as always. Another was to get the Golden Collar. The officials who ran the promotional race had taken it as soon as they learned of Chase's death, and Wizard was determined to get it back. This was important to all of the team, not only the ones who Wizard had been with most of his life. The new recruits had grown up in Chase's glory, and wanted to honor their fallen hero. They did, and Wizard held onto the collar for a few seasons, though not nearly as long as he'd had liked to keep it. In time, he'd simply gotten too old to keep up with the new teams. After losing a string of races, Wizard was formally retired. He died not long after this in his sleep. 

Other -

- Wizard was the first dog to be added to Chase's team. He was chosen because, unlike his siblings, he did not run around excitedly to try and attract attention. Wizard merely sat by and observed what was going on around him.
