Pressure sensitivity in Gimp

Question :
:

I have the latest version of Gimp installed on my Macbook Pro, but Gimp doesn't seem to detect that I'm using a tablet. I don't know if this is just a Mac issue, or if something needs to be setup in Gimp, but does anyone know how to fix this?

You should really only respond if you have an actual answer to give. Besides, this question has been resolved.

The surface on my tablet is worn and textured, and Gimp is picking up on it for some reason (yet Photoshop doesn't).

Have you tried checking to see if you have the latest driver for your tablet? Maybe it has something to do with that?

I did try and play with the settings, but no luck. But I can go back and try again, and try do some more research. But I thought I would ask here since a lot of people use Gimp for rendering and drawing, so I figured someone may have experienced this.

Are there any settings you can look through and play with perhaps? I don't have Gimp so I can only offer some suggestions. Maybe search the issue and see if anyone else is having the same problem and go from there?
