You must only create characters that you intend to use in fan works (fanarts, fanfics, ...) The unused characters will be removed.
After how long will fan caracters be removed? (my fan fic isn't going vey quickly but I don't wan to lose my fan characters (Carnelian,Sheba Cale,Snowflake Felan,Zeke)

steetIt's not applied yet, not until you can link your fan characters to
your fan creations. You don't have anything to worry for now.
