i have been wondering this for a long time and have had no answers. i have seen the PM in the animation source forums and have noticed people talk about them alot but have no clue what they are! if anyone could answer one of these it would be nice:

what is a pm

why is there a pm

could somebody help me edit my pm

can i view my friends pm?

Mighty is correct. However, "pm", in context of date and time, actually stands for "postmeridian", not "past morning". It is a derivative of a Latin phrase meaning "after noon (or the median hour)".

It stands for "private message". Much like the one you sent me last week, they're for contacting other users privately. And no, you can't edit them once they've been sent, nor can you view another user's PM box.
