If You're Thinking about Watching, Think Again, December 10, 2010

Well when I first heard this movie was coming out, I was excited as anyone as this site could've been. And when it came out, I was ten times as disappointed. 

The music is okay but coming from someone who can't listen to songs over and over again, it got a bit painful after a while listening to corny songs. 

The characters were off too. Jenna was nothing like she was in the first movie and neither was Balto. Even if they did have a family, it wouldn't change them that much! Boris, Muk and Luk were the only characters who didn't change. 

Of course, the animation was awful. The backgrounds were incredible, but the characters couldn't compare. There are more then enough articles pointing out lazy mistakes that the animators made. But given the budget, it's not that surprising.

The plot was awful. Plain and simple.

The thing that makes me dislike this movie so much is Aleu herself. Quite frankly, she's a brat. I don't see any good qualities in her whatsoever. She's also very ugly and her random "rebelious" (stupid) acts make Balto look like an overprotective, ignorant father. I like movies where the main character is at least likeable and to me, Aleu is anything but.

Recently, I tried to watch it again because I wasn't sure if all the talk about the second movie being so bad was true. I got half way through and stopped. It was a waste of my time and it'll be a waste of yours too. After such a brilliant firs movie, it's a shame that they came out with such a crappy second.
