My favorite animated movie ever., June 29, 2016

I'm not going to lie, but Balto is my favorite animated movie ever. But first, how'd I come across Balto?

I first saw it on VHS when I was just 6 years old. Scenes like boiler room and the white wolf remained in my memory the most. But when my VHS recorder broke two years later, I've forgotten about Balto.

But before the Christmas 2015, I was scrolling around the channels, and upon seeing commercials on TV1000, I was Balto slipping on an ice. My memories flooded back. After a few days, I watched the movie.

The movie... it wasn't good... IT WAS AMAZING! The animation is superb, the characters are all beloveable (all of them!), it has good story and the voice acting is flawless!

The movie is darker compared to some other animated movies back in the 90's. When I say 'darker', I mean that showing diphtheria, illness, and almost (but thankfully not) death.

When I say every character was belovable, I mean that. Balto as an outcast wolf-dog is really great. Jenna is my favorite character because she's not stereotypical Disney character. Boris is hilarious, but also very important when he said: ''A dog cannot make this journey alone, but maybe... a wolf can.'' Muk and Luk are adorable and mischevious. Steele is a great, but under-appreciated villain. He left the children to die just because of his pride. There are some others, but I think I should have focused on the main ones.

The voice actors did a brilliant job. I mean it totally. Kevin Bacon does a great job as voice acting as Balto. While his voice acting received mixed response by critics, I think that he did a great job, showing the darkness of the situation and how outcast he is. Bridget Fonda does, in my opinion, the best job. Her sweet and endearing voice makes me love Jenna more. Bob Hoskins also does a great job, and his Russian accent is great too. And we have Jim Cummings, a popular voice-actor who potrays Steele.

This movie is one of them that I can watch anytime without getting bored.

When I watched this movie in December 2015, I also heard that there are Balto 2 and Balto 3. I heard about Balto 2 when I was 7, but I've never known about Balto 3. I watched all the 3 movies. The first one was the best, but Wolf Quest and Wings of Change are good to watch too!
