Other information:

Personality:   Not affected by the danger of man at all, Kya is a cheerful young fawn. She loves being with deer who like her and getting on her uncle’s and mother’s nerves, as well as playing with them when they actually want to.

She is fun loving and adventurous, leading her to often stray away from her mother’s and uncle’s sight and hearing range. After almost getting caught by man she gets a little more careful, though.

Kya is sensitive and caring and it’s very easy for her to make friends. But she often gets too invested in friendships, so she’s very easy to disappoint and doesn’t take it well when her relatives tell her they have to keep wandering. She was very glad they could stay in Bambi’s forest for a longer time.

She can be annoying with her talkative manner and the fact that she loves following other animals around.

Like her mother, she is very headstrong and likes having things go her way. But the older she gets, the less she likes being ordered around and will often be found doing something she isn’t allowed to, just for the fun of it.

History:   Kya happened one chilly fall day when her mother Asante met a travelling vita buck named Tricheur. Asante instantly liked the charming young buck, not knowing that it was a game of his to make does love him, mate with them if he meets them during the rut and then break their hearts. So he did with her and stayed only longer than usual so no other buck could mate with her. Then he ditched her cruelly and went on to find his next victim.

Asante was, of course, heartbroken, but she would raise her fawn nonetheless.

And so, one spring night, Kya was born in the safety of the thicket with the stars sparkling high above them. Her mother named her after the shimmering diamonds in the sky while she licked her daughter’s wet fur.

Soon after, Kya met her mother’s brother, Tumaini. She liked the buck, he had kind eyes and a calm voice, and he was friendly to her.

She and the other two spent some time in this place and there, she learned to walk and talk. She played with a few animals living there and didn’t take it well when her mother and uncle told her that they had to go away.

The reasoned with her and told her that man was possessed by capturing deer of their kind and they had to keep wandering if they wanted to survive. She was still hated always wandering around, but didn’t object. She soon got used to it though.

When they decided to stay in a place for a few days, she always went exploring and often went very far away. Although she has a great sense of orientation, the two adults were often worried about her, something she never could fully understand.

When they reached Bambi’s forest, she quickly socialized with the animals living there and was overjoyed when Asante told her they would stay there for a longer time.

There was one buck of their kind she wasn’t allowed to see, though, and she is curious about him.
