Maru is a Young Doe, Who was Born Partially Blind. As a Fawn, Maru Could Only See Slightly, But as She Grew older, her sight deteriorated, & she was eventually completely Blind in Both Eyes. Even though she is blind, her other sense's are about 35% stronger than the average, meaning her Smell, hearing & Other sense's Are Rather Strong.
She Lived With her Mother Most of her Life, She Knew her Father, & Saw him Every Now & Again but she never had a strong bond with him, Just as Maru started to lose her spots, her mother was darted by Humans & sent to a Zoo for breeding, So Maru spent the Rest of her Young Life Living With an Elderly Doe that Took her In When she Fell ill in the Winter,
When Spring Came, & Maru Was a Fully Grown, young doe, She Met Her Half Brother Bambi & His Mate Faline, Even though she couldn't see them, she could feel there warmth and friendliness beam from there kindness, She & Faline Soon became Good Friends, & Was even Present at the Birth of Faline's 2 Twin Fawns.
She Then met a Young Buck Named Ronno, He Seamed Nice but she could feel a strong, dominant feeling that she didn't really like, the Young Buck asked her about becoming mates but Maru explained to him that she thought a friendship would be better off, Ronno Didn't take the Denial to Well but he hasn't given up & is still determined to make her his mate.
Maru is Waiting for a Buck that Can See through her Unfortunate disability, a buck that doesn't Care that She Can't See, someone that will care & look after her, but she is very picky, if she doesn't feel comfortable with the buck she'll not be prepared to go any further than a friendship, the Buck has to be pretty special.
She's Still Pretty Young & has got a lot to learn & a lot of growing up to do, But Maru is a Very head Strong, Smart Doe & is perfectly capable of Caring for Herself.
