Personality: Miracle is a thoughtful doe, she hardly talks before thinking her answer through in order to avoid saying anything wrong or making a fool out of herself. That makes her seem slow-thinking and timid, but actually, she’s a rather bright young deer and is good at figuring things out.
The ones her age think she’s far too mature, as she is calm, sensitive and trustworthy already at a young age. That doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t enjoy playing with her fellow fawns, she loves being around others and having fun, as well as listening to stories, no matter what they’re about.
Once you get to know her, she’s actually rather sweet, dedicated and friendly, and she will stick to you like glue. She has an urge to make others feel good and would do anything to achieve this goal. In her opionion, it’s the little things in life which make it worth living.
Her weakness is that she takes insults really to heart and is very resentful because of this. If someone hurts her one time, she will absolutely make sure that this doesn’t happen again. But although no one would suspect that knowing this, it is easy to gain her trust and make her like you, making her a target for bucks that are just out to break doe’s hearts.
She doesn’t like being all on her own and would go with anybody if it’s needed to have company, even if it’s another species.
Although small due to her breed, Mira can be a bold one if it’s needed and is able to defend herself rather well, if not with strength, then with speed and fast maneuvers.
Like all Sitka Deer, she’s a fantastic swimmer.
Likes: figuring things out, calm conversations, being with friends, her family, playing, talking to older deer, listening to stories, making friends, her dream of finding the right buck for her, Sea-Oat, swimming, warmth, Rye teaching her about plants, watching over Faline’s fawns
Dislikes: her homelands, quick decisions, brainless jerks, snares, hounds, Man, being on her own, being forced to do something, her heart being broken, someone misusing her trust, hot and dry weather, having an disadvantage because she chronically limps on one leg due to it being broken once
Wishes/Hopes: to tell Sea-Oat how she feels and that he loves her back, having own fawns, one day meeting her family again
Voice: Carrie Underwood
History: Miracle was born in late spring, like most Sitka deer. Since Sitka does in prime age (5-10 years) mostly give birth to twins, her mother did that this year, too. But unlike the last time, when she gave birth to Mira’s older siblings Amali and Siro, only one fawn came out to be healthy and well. The other fawn, a female, was tiny and week, and not soon after, her heart stopped pumping.
Nisha was devastated, and she cried while she brought her daughter’s dead body away. Little Miracle had no clue what was going on, but she instinctively knew that something wasn’t right and tried to console her mother by snuggling up to her and trying to lick her tears away, although she was far too small. And despite her grief, Nisha couldn’t help but smile faintly.
This resolved in her growing extremely attached to her surviving daughter, she didn’t even let her other fawns and her mate see the little fawn for two days after the birth. And even after that, she always stayed by Mira’s side, not wanting her daughter to get into trouble. Bree grew to be a little mama’s girl and matured quickly. That doesn’t mean she didn’t play with fawns of her age, of course, but most likely not quite as often as others did.
When she was half a month old, Nisha finally agree to sometimes let her go on her own (well, with her siblings), and they joyfully bounded off to go explore. Since nothing happened, she got to do so more regularly, and met other young Sitka deer like her friends Dawn and Soleil or even her father Dawson.
Some more time passed, and Miracle’s life was well. But as it says, all good things must come to an end. In her second summer, she was somehow captured by someone who wanted to sell deer of her breed to zoos.
She wasn’t the only one captured, how she later realized, with her where her older sister and Nix, a young buck fawn who had a crush on her. She felt better once knowing she wasn’t all alone, but she was still frightened and sad because now, her mother only had Dawson and Suri left. She would be heartbroken once she found out what had happened, and that thought almost made Mira cry.
Along with Nix, Amali and some others, she was shipped to the United States so they could be sold. A zoo bought them and they were brought there. After spending some time in quarantine and seeing the vet several times, the young deer were brought to their enclosure.
There were various other Sitka deer, they didn’t have to work for their food, they had a shelter and Miracle became good friends with a doe named Lilac, but the doe didn’t like it a bit. She was used to freedom, to being able to go wherever she wanted, and now, she was locked in. And the humans staring at her made her feel uncomfortable, but as the older deer had foretold, she got used to it. She longed for being free again, though.
Concerning that point, luck was on her side. Around half a year later - she was two years old now - there was a fire in the zoo that destroyed the fence or their enclosure.
Along with several others, Miracle escaped and in the chaos because of the fire, they managed to get out in the wilderness once more.
She desperately searched for Amali, but Lilac told her that she hadn’t made it. Mira was devastated at the loss, but she moved on. In a small band, she and some others started a journey to find a new home.
Luckily for her, she still knew how to survive in the wilderness, although this place was different from her homelands. But the small group was ragged more and more. Some died, some stayed in other forest. In the end, Miracle was alone.
She was walking in a new forest when suddenly, she heard something snap and felt an unbearable pain in her leg. She looked back and saw it being stuck in one of man’s iron traps.
Despite better knowing, she screamed out of pain and cried for help. But she was lucky; no predator heard it. But no one who could help her, either.
She was lying there for a few hours, praying for help. But no one came. It was no use to try and get out alone, that way, she would only risk losing her hoof. At some point, she fainted because the pain got too much for her.
But she was awakened sometime later, and stared into two worried blue eyes. When the buck noticed she was awake, he seemed relieved and introduced himself as Sea-Oat. He then turned his head and talked to someone, and when Miracle looked up, she saw a tall stag with large antlers and a buck around Sea-Oat’s age working to get her leg out of the trap.
While they did so, Sea-Oat talked to her, asked for her name and who she was. Although she was weak, she answered. She almost fainted again, though, when the stag and the other buck, who Sea-Oat introduced as The Great Prince and Bambi, finally freed her leg.
Because she had nowhere to go, Sea-Oat offered her to take her to his den so she could recover. Her leg was broken, so she wasn’t able to be on her own. She was too weak to object, so she allowed him to lead the way.
During the following weeks, he cared for her in a very touching way, making sure she wasn’t lacking of anything, although it took her a long time until she could even stand. He also helped her kill time by telling her his stories; for he had found out she loved listening to him. When he was sure she wouldn’t die from and infection and could deal with meeting others, he introduced her to his twin sister Rye, and the two does got along great.
Sea-Oat and Miracle got to know each quite well and slowly but surely, she developed a crush on him. Even after her leg had healed (she still limped a tiny little bit, but it didn’t hurt anymore), she spend much time with him. He even defended her from a buck called Ronno, who made fun of her because her walking looked funny.
She decided to stay in the forest, and is currently thinking about a way to tell Sea-Oat how she feels.
(May be altered, depending on what Feathervenom says.)
