Personality:  Naira is the perfect picture of a doe many bucks want. She’s not only obedient; she is also very quiet – sometimes she hardly talks at all – and easily gives in.

She has always been more of the observing type, but found great pleasure in watching things, not just deer, and find out things about them this way. She has become great at “reading” other’s emotions and doesn’t just focus on what someone says because of that.

Naira is also a very dedicated mate and mother and would do anything to make her family happy and to keep them from harm. She would even give up herself to help those whom she loves. She sometimes hardly notices that she should think of herself.

She is very romantic, loves fawns and dreams of having a big family.

History:  Naira was born about one year after Ronno’s mother, her older sister. As all does do, their mother usually left little Naira alone to go and find herself some food, but luckily, Ronno’s mother often took her little sister on walks to show her the forest.

The two sisters grew really close, naturally, as close as any sisters could be. Naira often watched her big sister talk and flirt with other bucks, but since she sometimes played with other fawns around that time, she didn’t really mind.

Her sister often took her to the flower spot which Lakia would show to Tuktu one day. The sisters loved this place for it was so secluded and peaceful, not to mention its beauty. But one day in summer, when Naira was already a few months old, the sisters happened to meet Avery, the Great Prince’s brother.

Naira liked the buck, but she was far too young to have any interest in him. But he and her sister hit it off right away. They really seemed to like each other, and they met more frequently from then on. And as time went on, Ronno’s mother demanded more often to go to this place alone. Naira was hurt, naturally, and disliked Avery for taking her sister away from her.

But despite that, she still went on with her daily life, even though she was really sad when her sister left during the next spring, as doe fawns usually leave their mothers with the age of two. She still met her sister sometimes, and she was happy every time.

But in the course of growing up, she also became interested in bucks, though she was to shy to approach one of them. But she enjoyed it when they talked to her whenever she came across one, although that wasn’t often, since the herds usually only united in fall, during the rut.

She, however, came across one bock, Maverick, she really came to like. Although she was quiet and usually didn’t talk that much, the buck managed to engage her in many conversations. He was a really nice buck, and when the rut came, she mated with him after he fought off other suitors, as it’s usual.

In spring, she had a pair of twins. But sadly, one of her fawns died. She was devastated when she brought the dead fawn’s body away, silent tears running down her cheeks. She was even more clingy to her other fawn, a buck whom she named Indigo, afraid he might pass away as well. She didn’t even notice how much she spoiled him until it was too late.

When she eventually thought he had to learn to take care of himself, like eating plants and such, he started getting angry towards her and even started yelling. Her heart shattered in that moment, seeing her own child with such hatred towards her.
And the older Indigo got, the more he scared her. She oftentimes went to her sister for comfort, and of course, she was there for her. The bond between the sisters grew stronger again, especially when Ronno’s mother started getting sick and it was her sister’s turn to be the strong one.

Naira was even more devastated when the new herd arrived, because like all the other deer, she was scared of the caribou, and it hurt her very much when she noticed that Indigo spend more and more time with them. She felt that she had eventually lost her son, the only thing she had.

 When Taifa took over the forest, she still spend much time with her sister and her nephew Ronno, but was scared of looking Indigo in the eye.
