Hey,

Are there any people who remind you of "Balto" characters? How do you know said people, and why do they remind you of certain characters from "Balto"?

I don't know anyone in real life who truly reminds me of Balto characters, though other movie characters most certainly. For example, Kiara from Lion King II reminds me of Aleu. Spirit from Spirit: SotC reminds me of Balto. Real-life movies, I would say Boris reminds me /somewhat/ of Alfred from Batman (in the Christian Bale series). Dunno. In real life, the only person I can think of would be my ex-best friend. She reminded me of Jenna but only because she took an interest in her when I showed her the movie. Not really for any other particular reason.

I have a friend who reminds me of Niju. He's not evil, but he's like him in one way. He's not afraid to die, but he's afraid to change.

And Niju is not evil, FYI.

I agree with Mighty; Niju wasn't exactly "Evil" he had justifiable reasonings for being the way he was. He was pretty much just scared of change. < Alot of people are that way.
Niju kinda reminds me of my husband in a way or vise versa. He doesn't like change and he's a little bit of the "Take Charge" kind'a personality. Still has good intensions but sorta goes about them the wrong way at times.

My father in law reminds me of steele (Now steele was evil in a sense). He's a "Glory hound" per say...likes to be right about everything. Feels that he's the most important person in the world and loves himself more than he loves others.

But thats about it though.

My father's stepfather and my father's mother have a daughter, and her husband reminds me of Steele! He's sort of a selfish, "I love livin' large!" kind of a guy, and he and my step-aunt, AND my grandparents, all live in a cold climate state.

Of course, what's really strange is the fact that I've been secretly crushing on him for YEARS (He's totally charming, and he's always been nice to ME!)! I don't feel badly about crushing on him, because he married into the family; he's not really related to me! I was sooo bummed about not being able to see him when I last visited my grandparents!

I could think of a few people who very much remind me of Steele: self-centered, concerned chiefly with their own gain and having no regard for how their actions impact others. Frankly I think the world has a surplus of them.

As for other characters, at the risk of sounding self-praising I'll say that I sometimes feel like Boris when I watch my mom struggle to make ends meet, in as much as I find myself trying, however ineptly, to make things easier on her. The similarity is especially distinct in my mind when she keeps encouraging me to go back to college and "spread my wings;" consistently bringing to mind the part where Balto asked Boris, "You ever think about going back?" I even went so far as to tell her once, point-blank, that I'm not going anywhere until I know she's set to manage for herself. Even used Boris' own words.
