Channing smiled and held her tightly to him, pulling back only to give her a big kiss. A very emotionally and affectionate kiss as he ran his fingers through her hair. He smiled at her and hugged her tight once more before sitting her back on the cot. "Well then in that case." He paused, adjusting himself once more before pulling the cute little velvet covered box from his pocket, "Anna-" He began, getting cut off by the commander's clapping. Channing placed the box in her lap and looked at the Commander.
"Did you also appologize for keeping a secret from her?"
"What are you talking about?" Channing said, getting to his feet.
"You didn't tell her about your previous love did you? What you did to that woman and her unborn child."
Channing stood in silence.
"Haha, I guess not. So shall I tell her or you?" He snapped his fingers, the guards rushing at Channing and pinning him against the wall. Each one held his arms.
"You see Anna, your not the only woman in Channing's life who he had proposed to." The commander said, stepping inside the cell. Channing's eyes widened, he knew what the commander was talking about.

Anna smiled down at Channing, waiting to hear the words that she had been waiting so long to hear come from his mouth. Just as she caught sight of the ring their special moment was interupted by the Commander's clapping, catching Anna's attention. She looked at him truly puzzled as he entered the cell, "What?" She asked, looking over at Channing still confused, "Channing, what is he talking about?" She asked, standing and holding the box with the ring inside. She looked over at the guards who averted their eyes from meeting her's. She looked at Channing and tilted her head, "What happened to her?" She asked to the Commander, still staring at Channing. The room became uncomfortably quiet as they all stood there looking amongst each other.

The Commander looked at Anna and sighed. "You ever wonder how everybody knows Channing?" He asked, stepping forward. "He murdered some people. That included his girlfriend and her unborn child." He said, looking over at him, "Right?" He asked, Channing nodding sadly in agreement. The Commander looked at Anna once again, "It happened a few years back. Channing and a beautiful young girl by the name of Rosalie. The two were inseperable!" He took a deep breath. "Everything seemed to be going really good for them and soon they were married. Rosalie was a few months pregnant with Channing's child, but of course, he didn't want the child." Channing's head shot up as he tried to stuggle against the guards. "Shut your mouth Starlynn!" He barked, trying to get to him. The Commander shushed him as he continued with the story. "So one night, they had gotten into a really heated fight. Words were exchanged and what not but soon things escalated into physically fighting. Long story short Channing pushed her down a flight of steps, killing her and the baby. He was imprisoned for a few years but got out on good behavior." He said, looking over at Channing. "There, doesn't it feel good to have everything out in the open?" He asked with a smile. Channing's head dropped, not able to make eye contact with Anna.

Anna looked at Channing in complete horror as she listened to the Commander, "Channing is it true?" She asked sadly, staring at him as though he was a monster. She shook her head, "You brute! How could you kill your wife and baby!?" She screamed, glaring at him with watery eyes. "Your a monster Channing... And to think I was going to marry you." She said, her heart hurting worse than ever before. What would stop him from killing me and my child if we had married? Nothing but a thin line of tolerance. He's had his third strike, I cannot take anymore chances with him. She thought sadly. She sat back down on the cot and began to cry. She didn't know what to believe anymore. Anna threw the ring down on the floor and glared at her hands, wishing that she had never even met Channing. Everything was just so confusing for her.

Channing looked up and caught her eyes, "Anna please no. It was an accident I swear it! I didn't mean to kill her, Anna it was an accident!" He pleaded, his eyes watering up. "Please Anna, you have to believe me! I'd never do anything to try and kill a woman and especially not a child, you know me better than that!" He said, the Commander stepping closer to him. "Nobody knows you truly do they Channing?" That was the last straw for him. Channing broke free from the guards' grasp and struck the Commander in his face over and over again. "You devil!" He screamed at him, guards trying to pull him from their superior. Channing knew he'd be killed for hitting him and that he would have to leave this Kingdom, now. The guards couldn't get a good grip and Channing was determined to kill this man.

Anna looked up, "Channing I don't know what to believe anymore." She said, sighing. Are those tears in his eyes? She thought, knowing now that he was telling the truth. He wouldn't cry for just anything. She sighed, about to stand when Channing attacked the Commander. She shrieked and gazed down at them, jumping from the path that they were fighting in. She looked back and forth from the open door and the wrestling men, chosing to run instead. Anna ran and ran as fast as she could, running through the streets holding her skirts. Noticing a horse she jumped on it's back, noticing it was Lightning! James' horse! She kicked his sides and went to the direction of home. She was determined on getting home. Anna thought of Channing and about her parents, how would they react to her coming home after this much time away from home.

When Channing did finally stop he snatched the ring from the floor and took off, running from the prison and straight to Vixen. He mounted his black steed before anyone could catch him, noticing Anna riding off on Lightning. He shook his head and rode off in a different direction, Vixen's legs eagerly eating up the ground. Channing was going back to the camp to live for a few months, or maybe the rest of his life. He now was a wanted man, knowing that he couldn't return to the Nothern Kingdom to all of his friends. He just needed to get out of dodge for now. He would plan on getting to see Anna later on. He rode as fast as he could, pushing Vixen way past his limit to the point where he was frothing at the mouth. Channing couldn't help it though, Vixen just had to deal with it for now and rest like a dog later.

It has been a few months since I last saw Channing. My stomach is huge now, since I'm about 9 months along. I'll be due to have my child in about 2 weeks! I'm thrilled. Deep in my heart I wish he was still around to help me like he said he would, but I guess I'll have to just make it work. Mother and Father said that they are going to try and wed me to another prince or to someone in the same class as me but deep in my heart Channing is the only man who could ever fill that position. I just wish I had said yes to his marrying offer, but as far as I know, he may not even remember me. Who's to say that he hasn't went off and married another? If I know Channing, he'd not be dwelling too much on old memories. Anna wrote down in her diary that she kept in the bookshelf, she missed that man so badly and but it was a bit easier to write about him now. She sighed, her mother coming to her room with a few knights carrying a rocking chair, a crib, and a basanette. All for the unborn child. Anna smiled and looked at her mother, "Oh thank you mother." She said, hugging her. Miranda smiled and hugged her daughter back, "Your welcome Anna. Dinner will be made in a few moments, I'll have it brought to you okay?" Anna nodded, sitting back down on her bed.

Channing sat alone in his office, eating a steaming bowl of stew that he had made himself. It was afully quiet around there, now that he was there alone. Channing sat at his desk, remembering how Anna had gotten down on the floor and begged him then how he kissed her for the first time. Channing smiled to himself, not knowing that in a few short hours Anna's kingdom would be in danger. He looked down at the tiara on the corner of his desk, he had put it there the day after Anna had dropped it. I'll have to give it back to her. He thought with a grin, picking it up and holding it. Wait, what is that noise? He thought, standing and walking outside. On the horizon he could see a massive fleet of Nothern knights on horses covered in battle armor. "Oh God no." He said quietly, running to Vixen and jumping on his back. He kicked the horse's sides and bolted into the forest, running straight for the Southern Kingdom. He needed to warn Anna of the danger.

Anna sat on her bed humming quietly as she rubbed her stomach. She soon stood and walked to the bookshelf, grabbing a book and taking a seat in the beautifuly hand-crafted rocking chair. "Would you like the hear a story loves?" She asked, her stomach moving in return. She smiled and nodded, opening the book and beginning to read to her stomach. It was a beautiful little fairy tale written by an old wise story teller centuries ago. Anna was about halfway through the book when a servant came upstairs with Anna's food and tea on a tray. She thanked the woman and finished the book, leaning forward and grabbing the tray of food. As she began eating she could hear the faint sound of hooves, thinking it may be some people riding through or some children playing with their new pet. She looked over at the window and sighed, remembering the time that Channing had swung through and captured her. Oh how charming he looked. I wonder how much his appearance has changed since the last time I saw him. She thought, though she vaguely remembered what he looked like the last time she had seen him.

Channing pushed Vixen again to his limit and got there in no time! He left his horse in the forest though, figuring that would be the safest place in an hour or two. Channing looked at the wall he had once climbed to get to Anna, digging his knife back into it and climbing it once more. He was happy to know the window was open, but he couldn't sit and count all the blessings just yet. He needed to warn Anna so that the Kingdom would be ready for the invaders. Channing grabbed the window sil and pulled himself inside, looking around frantically when he saw her. Beautiful Anna with a huge stomach. He stopped and stared for a few seconds before shaking his head, "Anna!" He exclaimed, rushing over to her. "Anna you have to listen to me and listen carefully. On the horizon, about 6 miles away there is a huge fleet of Northern knights, and they are ready for battle. Warn the knights and get everyone prepared, I'll go and warn the town to get everybody ready. Just hurry Anna." He said, not able to keep from looking at her stomach.

Anna watched the window intently as Channing pulled himself through, smiling as wide as a sail boat as he stepped toward her. Though her happiness was short lived when he began to warn her of the oncoming threat. She gasped, "Oh my!" She said, "I shall warn my father." She said, turning toward the door and walking as fast as she could toward it. Suddenly though she stopped, turning and running back to Channing. She kissed him on the lips, "I believe you Channing." She said with a smile before hurrying out of her room. She raced down the hall to her father, to find him sitting upon his thrown. "Father!" She exclaimed, rushing toward him. "Northern knights, heading this way! We must warn the army! Quickly, there is no time to lose!" She warned, rushing back upstairs. Anna's father got off of his thrown and rushed to all the guards, having the castle put on lockdown with hundreds of guards coming to defend their land and kingdom. The horses were readied and so were some battle weapons. As she ran back to her room she ran and locked her bedroom door, sliding a dresser in front of it as she hid in the closet. She forgot that there was a battle axe in there, hanging behind a rack of clothes.

Channing nodded, giving her a warm embrace as she kissed him. "Now go Anna." He added just before she left. He smiled once before running and leaping from the window, onto the branch of a tall tree. From there Channing simply slid down the trunk and landed on Vixen's back. He kicked the horse's sides hard and ran through the streets, "A war is coming! A war is coming!" The women and children scrambled for their homes as the men went to get their battle axes and horses. "Lock your doors!" He announced, turning to see the knights gathering around ready for battle. He rode to them, "There are about 250 knights, all armed with swords and a flail!" He told them, watching as the men pulled their helmets to their faces. One man tossed Channing a chest guard, chain mail and armor. Channing slid it all on and thanked the man. "You might want to get that horse ready for battle too." The knight suggested, though Channing had other plans for Vixen he nodded anyway and rode off to hide his horse. Returning a few minutes later with his own sword. He would fight alongside the knights, to help protect Anna and her family.

Anna felt a few pains in her stomach, ignoring them as she spread a blanket and pillow on the floor and lay down. She thought maybe it would just be the way that she was sitting that caused the baby to shift around that way, totally unaware that in a few short minutes that she'd be holding her child. Anna took a deep breath and waited for the battle to begin. Outside of her door there were knights guarding her doors and some guarding her parents as well. I hope Channing is okay. She thought, trying not to nibble on her nails from being so nervous. Anna pushed the door open a little so she could see out and still get some fresh air, not wanting to sufficate in there. As she sat in the closet she prayed for the knights outside, knowing for a fact that some lives would be lost. She hoped that it wouldn't be a painful death for any of them, especially Eugene. As she thought of her friend her mind wondered to James, realizing he was a knight as well for the North! Her heart sank as she thought of her best friend caught in the mix of this terrible war. She could only hope he'd turn and leave before it was too late.

Channing watched the front gate as the knights began to invade. It was all over but the fighting now. He was the only man on foot while the knights were on horses. "Charge!" He yelled, running straight for them. Channing took his sword and slayed a few of the knights on horses, the whole South Army following behind him to help. He grabbed one man from his horse and threw him to the ground, pushing a sword through his chest before turning to the next man. He had just killed him when he noticed a knight trying to get into the window in Anna's room, running at him as fast as he could. By the time he got there the knight was inside, heading for Anna's hiding spot. He grabbed the doors to the closet and yanked them open, "Well well well, a closet bandit." He said evily, a devilish grin on his face. It was Commander Starlynn! He reached forward to grab her when Channing grabbed him by the neck, dragging him away from the closet. The two began fighting with their swords, loud metallic sounds coming from the blades as they crashed together.
