I remember there were several projects for Balto IV and I recall only one that actually had something done. It was Drew The Wolf's project here - /balto/en ... 78403.html
And even thought it had bunch of people working on it, the project get nowhere past several few-second animations.

Sorry to break you but as you see making a movie is not a child's play. Heck, even making a minute of decent animation can take hours or days. Thre needs to be a lot of teamwork and mobilized people who know what they are doing and are good at it. And as far as I know there are no Balto fans at this moment who arre capable (in a matter of skills OR just available time) of doing such hard, long term work completely for free. Making a movie takes money too. to earn money you'd need to sell the movie. And to sell the movie you'd need Universal's copyright that are probably impossible to get at this point.

You can always contact people who worker on Drew's project and they can probably tell you why was it dropped. And why such things won't succeed.

Balto IV will never be made because Universal no longer sees the series as being viable for making a profit. I doubt they would listen to a bunch of fans of the movie for one to be made. Balto fan projects in the past on here have always failed because inevitably people's interest in them fades and their normal lives consume the time they would have to put into such a thing. Its a nice sentiment to hope for a Balto IV, Spirit. But it will remain only that, a nice sentiment.

Maybe this will be the time the illustrious fourth Balto movie actually happens! Really though, wishful thinking is nice, but it takes a lot of time and money to actually make a valid movie. Plus you could be sued for copyright infringement as you will most likely not be able to get permission to used the trademark or the characters.

Best of luck in any event though.

I think it would be wiser to try making something along the lines of a collaborative fanfic first, then (if you want it to be different from all the other fanfics) turn it into an audio drama, and then if that really excels, perhaps a motion comic. Trying for a movie right from the start sets the bar unrealistically high and, in a way, dooms the whole project.

Yeah, spiritkids, if you wanna do an audio dramatization like Dragon Tamer mentioned, I can provide certain types of voices. My strength in that is like a real raspy voice with a growl behind it. It's rather evil-sounding. Like Steele's or Niju's.
