Balto or Ginga Densetsu Weed?

Uh oh... pressure's on... don't choke... gotta make a choice...

Uh... I have to pick Ginga Densetsu Weed because this series along with the prequel Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, are two of the best things to happen to Japanese entertainment.

Okay, so like I said, I like GDW better for several reasons and an addition to my opinions on Weed (as a character):

this is a quote from one of my posts on the ginga caverns IT CONTAINS SPOILERS:

In some episodes Weed was an alright character but in others i wanted to hit him with a mallet and tell him to grow up. In the Kyoshiro episodes, he had no right to disturb what Kyoshio was doing to Teru's dad! it was none of his buisness and if he had left it alone then Thunder and Lecter probably would not of attacked as soon as they did. Another episode, the infamous "Jerome Banishment" episode. Come on, I can't have been the only person that wanted to smash Weed. Jerome was trying to protect Weed, but no in he runs "oh lets save the world and never kill any of the evil characters, even if they will keep coming back and coming back, again and again!" Everyone tried talking sense into him but no, he would be SO grown up about it and go and sulk because deep down he knew they were right. Okay, if that wasn't enough, in the last episode, he directly disrespects Gin because he believes that Hougen can "change" I don't know if he was on something or if he was just stupid but I think after watching Hougen for X number of episodes we KNOW he is NOT going to "change".

thats really all I have to say about him apart from also that I do not agree with the "Super-pup" role.

Well, they're both different, plot and character-wise. I'd have to say it's a tie for me.

*scratches head nervously* don't judge, i'm not disin', but...should pple really be responding to this when they haven't seen GDW? i can't say personally. i like balto because my fav chars don't DIE, but i like the GDW a lot (as well as GNG)...hmmm...probably Balto. else i would find a GDW source or smthg...

fav GDW char(s) not nessicarily in order: Jon, Ken, and Kagetora. <--not sure about these anymore. fav chars are hard to pick in the Ginga series... was Gin in a personality test thing...^^

fav Balto char(s) in order: Kaltag and Balto

Hmm... Well, I hate balto[the real balto is okay.] but I hate the movie.
and I have watched GDW and it is way better. So I'd have to say GDW.
My favorite character would have to be Jerome.

i will stay with balto as i think Balto 1 is a classic movie..

if you would ask if GNG, Ginga nagarenboshi gin ore balto i would stick with Gng..

Gdw was good.. but not that good that i thought..

But Jerome was a cool new character! ^^

But John owns them all :'D

I'll say Balto. I've never seen GDW, but that's because it never really appealed to me the same way the Balto movie did.

I go with Balto without a dout but i also like GDW but not as mutch as Balto.In GDW Kyoushiro is my favorit character. I think that GDW isa little too bloody for my stile and Balto is a true story that also makes me go with him but of course i coulden't let Balto go even if I wanted to he's too good.

balto for sure, I'm not big into Anime ( I only watch sellect few, one being Wolf's Rain, and even balto is better than that)

...This is the same as comparing apples and bananas. This hasn't got any sense, you can't just compare western animation and japanese animation, nor than you can say that one is superior to the other.

i think this topic is just more matter of opinion. like 'which would you perfer to watch?'
which by the way, my opinion is still Balto's better. i still liked Weed, but since watching Gin,
Weed isn't as amusing and Gin i would have a difficult time deciding which i'd rather watch for a couple hours. ^^
