Curious George? Really??

Balto was a true story (even though with some tweaks) but is incredible either way. The Curious George pandamonium (sp?) will be dying out very soon, I can tell, but Balto's spirit still lives on! It's sites like BS that gather even more Balto fans, but what does the little monkey get? CGS? I don't think so.

I didn't have time to read through the other posts, and i don't know if someone might have already posted this idea - or ideas. The first one is to start a nonprofit organization with Balto as the head mascot. Collect donations to fund a Balto IV, with the promise that all profit received from the movie will go to helping sick children. Of course this sounds kind of greedy when the donations themselves should just go to help sick children. But if the movie did well, then those donations would be doubled, or even trippled. I also don't think it would be a copyright infringment due to the fact that no profit would be had. But i'm not sure.

My second idea is to ask/petition them to release the rights of Balto, or lower the cost of those rights, and let another small production company make another movie if they will. Perhaps Balto Source could evolve into a production company if this happened.

I don't know. Just a couple thoughts. Feel free to shoot me down.

Great ideas in fact, but hard to bring into practice. As horrible as it sounds, film-making is all about money these days, and releasing the rights wouldnt come cheap. Not everyone is as goo hearte as us, and certainly not those who sits on the Universal-moneybag...

Yes, it would still be copyright infrangment. Also, starting a non-profit is much harder than you think (that's basically what I study at university, so I would know).


We are still talking about a copyright that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars, at least. I wouldn't be surprised if it was over one million dollars.

I was thinking the same thing! I mean, we know almost everything that has to do with Balto (true and fiction). We could come up with the plot and story line, draw characters and stills from all the new scenes and send it to them, be like, "Here, animate it, give it voices and release it for us." haha, long shot though

That's a truly unrealistic thought. No company ever takes submissions/ideas/fanfics from fans, because they fear getting sued by them later. That's a general policy.

How sad, this post was posted years ago and the still have not make a new Balto sequel sadly and some people had given up on the new Balto sequel idea. Since they do not take ideas from us maybe we could give them ideas that is similar or the opposite of our ideas... then again it is another stupid idea from me. Anyways there is still chance (not that it is a big chance, actually a very small chance) that they would make a new Balto, we can still support that idea of making a new balto which isn't gonna help much though.

Their internal animation studios are CLOSED. Which means the only way to see a new Balto would be either a reopening (very unlikely) or a CGI version outsourced to another company (like Illumination which will be doing a whole new Curious George film...)

I already knew about that. What a sad news huh? oh well, thanks for telling me anyways.

Errm, in case you don't read the news, they stopped, the animation studio is closed since almost one year. LBT 13 is the final one.

I managed to follow the series up to and including 7. After that it just became too much... Their voices changed, plots became too predictable, basicly, it got old.
