Katie almost gasped aloud. she looked at her mother, and then at her stomach. "Just tell me... Is there a possibility that... It wasn't HIM?" she thought, trying to smile at Fang. She stood up, and nuzzled her Father.
Bashkei sat by Katie, almost protectively. He nuzzled her, lavishing her with affection. Anything to get her mind off of what was happening.
Jenna, unable to leave her new pups alone, was forced to bring them. they were all strong enough to leave the house, but she felt it wasn't right. Although, they seemed to pay no heed.
Tai nodded concernedly, looking at thier mother sadly. "Papa said she's been eating a lot and throwing up." she said in a soft whisper.
Goldie sat by Cachen, nuzzlign his cheek tenderly. she tried to comfort him, knowign it must have been hard to see his Mother like this.

Katie's eyes widened slowly, looking down at her stomach. "Pregnant?!" she thought, confused. She gulped hard, relived at least there was a chance they could be Kodi's pups.
Jenna smiled, nuzzling her pup gently. "Don't worry, Ken... We're going to go see one of your big brothers." she told him, watching Blaze scurry and trip in the snow.
Tai nodded, looking afraid. "I had a feeling..." she said, ears flattening. "I don't know, either, maybe, when Mama's pregnant enough, I'll be able to read their emotions."
Goldie nodded, giving a little smile. Her voice was sullen and serious. "I know this must be hard on you all. I'm nervous too..." she murmured, licking his cheek softly. She looked at Fang, wanting to feel some sort of brotherly comfort from him.

Denali, like with her fur, her eyes were wolfish. She chased Blaze and yipped at her, wanting her to play.
Ken barked happily and nuzzled her back, then waited to be lead to his big brother and nephews.
Lenatei nodded. "Yes, but they could be Kodi's or Titan's, I'm not sure."
Lena nodded. "Yeah, hopefully." she said. "Poor momma, after everything this happens..."
Fang looked to Goldie. "Don't worry, everything will be ok."

Blaze yipped as her sister tackeld her, wantign her to play. the little red furred pup, more dog than her siste,r would sturglge and wiggle under her. Finally, looking at denali, Blaze would whimpere, little ears pinning back in submisson, before toppling the dominating pup, rolling with her.
Derbin yipped too, watching his sisters play, and scurried through the snow to his mother and brother, accidentally toppling Kenai in the process.
Katie sighed gently, eyes saddened. "Well, i'll have to tell everybody then."
Tai nodded, looking incredibly sad, then angry. "If it is what I think it is... Mako won't have to worry about prison for very long, and his dog won't have to worry about being put to sleep... i'll do it for him!"
Hopefully... Goldie thought sadly, leanign against Cachen. She tried to smile.

Denali giggled, rolling with her sister before noticing her brothers and mother wanted to move on. She broke off and barked to her red furred sibling to come on and ran after their mother.
Kenai barked in suprise but chuckled and licked his brother before following their parent.
Balto entered the clearing with Katie and family. "Hey guys...how's things going?" he asked, concerned for his daughter-in-law's well being.
"Katie...please remember, if they are Titan's, heaven forbid, don't blaim the children for the sins of the father." said Lenatei. "No matter how life is conceived, it is special and its own."
Lena whined. "Please don't be like this Tai...it's not who you are and you know it."
Cachen nodded. "I know this...if momma is having pups...no matter who their father is, they'd still be our little brothers and sisters, even if their father did terrible, awful things and they were concieved in one of them, you can't blaim the pups for something they weren't even around for." he said. "Fang is proof of that."

Blaze, who had landed in the snow before they realized they were being left behind, scrambled to get up. She chased after her brothers, mother and sister.
Jenna smiled a little as she looked at the pups, coming over to the new den site beisde Balto.
Derbin yipped and barked, running over to his Father as soon as he was visible.
Katie smiled at the pup, before looking back at Lenatei. "I know, Mama... It's just hard to think of what they might be... WHO they might be. If they are, it wouldn't mean I wouldn't love them. I would. but, I couldn't stand it if they-they...If they were killed." she looked away, burying half her face in Kodi's shoulder.
Kodi smiled at his Father. But, the smile faded rather fast. Fear, loathing and emotions in between were on his face. He was thinking the same things everyone else was. "Hey, Dad."
Tai sighed, still looking mad. "I know. But it-it makes me so MAD!" she said, looking very angry. "I'd love them all the same if they are they aren't." she whispered. "But, think about it, how long could they survive, with such a temper on HIM??" she said, almost gritting her teeth. "I don't want Mama to have to watch her pups die."

Denali ran up to her father and tackled him with her brother Kenai, licking his face.
Balto chuckled and nuzzled his pups. "Hello, how are you all today?"
"Titan's mind was poisoned with drugs, so was Mammoth's, his children likely wouldn't be the same, just look at FAng, sure, his father repented, but when Fang was concieved, Steele and him were different as night and day." said Lenatei
Cachen walked over to his parents. "Papa, is momma alright?"
"Tai, just because Titan was corrupted, doesn't mean his children would be." said Lena. "A lot of it was how he was raised.

Katie's eyes widened for a moment, not having known this before. She only nodded, looking at her in-laws came over the crest of a small hill. "I," she said "I don't know." there was such apprehension in her voice, it made Kodi stick all the closer to her as she explained things. "First of all, I'm pregnant." she let that sink in before, her eyes clouded with tears. "But... They could and also could not be yours." this, she directed at her mate, her jaw rigid.
The new caught Kodi by surprise, and he sat there a moment, eyes wide in shock and mouth hanging open. Inside somewhere he was angry at the thought of someone... doing something so vile to her! Then again, they could be his, which made him happy in some place, far from the anger.
Tai was unable to answer as she heard her mother was pregnant. Her eyes widened. Her heart stopped. Her blood ran cold.
Jenna, who had ocme over the crest of the hill to sit by her mate, was saddened by what Katie told them. Balto had explained everything to her.

Fang nuzzled Katie to try to consol her.
Balto put a paw on Katie's shoulder. "Katie...I'm sorry what should be a wonderful moment is so rough on you." he said, knowing Katie and Kodi would, if the situation was normal, be excited to have more pups.
Lena whined. "I feel sorry for momma...we should go be with her."
Cachen cuddled close to Katie, trying to consol her.
Kenai, while not sure what was happening, knew Katie was upset, so he trotted over and cuddled close to her with Cachen, trying to help.

The only two that didn't go to directly console her was Bashkei, who gritted his teeth, and Kai, who looked to the older wolf, concerned. He leaned over, nuzzling his Mother form behind.
Tai nodded, going over and snuggling up to her Mother between Fang and Cachen.
Jenna, with Derbin and Blaze tagging behind, very gently nuzzled her daughter in law. "I'm so sorry." she murmured, sad for her son and his mate.
Kodi was about to say something, before giving Bashkei a quick, uneasy glance. His ewyes said 'this is something that should be MY first priority before you.'. He looked at Katie, smiling ever so slightly. Katie, from the few tears that went down her face, looked at him. Kodi glanced at everyone. "No matter what, I'll be here." he said to her, causing her to snuggle up to him. "I will," he said "Even if they aren't..." the word 'mine' floated in the air.

Denali looked up at Katie, the pup clearly knowing something wasn't wrong. "S-s-sis." she stuttered, trying to get a word out. "Sistur?" she asked, after trying the word a few more times, trying to show concern for what was wrong. She knew Katie was her sister, which was true, they were in-laws, but the little pup only understood sister meant a girl in the family who had the same mom.
Balto stared at Denali. "She...she spoke..." was all he could say, he wanted to be happy, proud his little child had said her first word, but he didn't want to make Katie feel bad.
Cachen, like Balto, could just stare at the baby. Her first word wasn't momma or papa, like most, it was trying to consol her sister-in-law.

A slow, completely happy smile came to Katie's face. she leaned down and nuzzled the pup. "Yes. That's right. I'm your sister, sweetie." she said. "It's always nice when they say their first word." she said to Balto, wanting him to be happy.
Jenna's eyes widened, trying not to smile as well. It was a hard time for Katie, and it would be rude.
Tai, taking the same route as her mother, smiled wide. "That was so sweet of her." she said to her Grandparents.
Derbin smiled, pouncing on his sister cutely, licking her face. He struggled with one word too, nuzzling both her and Katie. "S-s-sis-sis...Sister!" he said, snuggling Denali again. He had merely taken the word form his sister, but new it had some sort of signifigance to Katie.

Katie looked at Denali and shook her head. "Everything's okay now, little one. You helped with that." she said, before going over to Kenai. "Don't cry." she said softly, and said the word slowly for him. Her own pups had spoken around the same time, and she had taught them how.
Blaze blinked, trotting over and licking Kenai's face cutely, tilting her head and saying "Sister?'
Jenna smiled, cuddling right back happily. "I know." she looked at Katie, and grinned. "Somehow, I think everything is going to turn out alright with her and Kodi in the end."[/color
[color=#FF0000]Tai nodded, grinning. "Momma looks like she's doing a lot better now."
