UGH! I saw that movie in 3rd grade and I hated it! It was cheesy and there were too many songs.... and animals don't wear clothes! DESTROY IT!

Saw this film on TV a few times, I was decent, but not very memorable, for me at least. It was kind of overshadowed by other things I remember from around that time. The Animation was good, the music was tolerable, and the story was cliched but it worked (Typical underdog story). I might just go back and watch it again. steet wrote: - it bombed litterally : 60M$ of budget, only 3.5M$ gross!! now see what happen when companies DONT advertise...if no one knew about it when it was released, no wonder it bombed so much. I haven't seen it, but I'm sure this is un-deserved. Wow I had no idea this film did so poorly it definitely deserved better than that, but I guess If no one knows it's out it won't make any money.

yeah, it is sad when films bomb due to lack of advertising.. Iron Giant and Quest for Camelot suffered because of WB's advertising (or lack there of too..) o.k, Cat's definitley isn't the best movie world.. but I liked better than Hercules and Anastasia which came out that same year.. and I love the music.. I hope Princess and the Frog has the same style Cats has.. Animal Jam is my fave of the songs.

Gaaaaaaaah my head is spinning, that's pretty much only making back 5% of the budget, no wonder why WB gave up with their animated movies, but they didn't advertise them! Bleh! Another great movie WB did, Iron Giant, two years later also bombed, 48M$ budget, 23.1M$ gross, again because they didn't advertise it enough, the sad thing is that IG's a gem!

Seems like the story doesn't end here...I have to admit that I'm impressed that Warner continued making animated films, while they ALL bombed : Quest For Camelot : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quest_For_Camelot I totally never heard about that movie either!!! (another one I have to see...) The Iron Giant : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_giant is famous for being one of the best animated films ever made, yet bombed literally too. Looney Tunes: Back in Action : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Looney_Tun ... _in_Action, their most recent one (though part live), bombed too...(And again, I only found about that one recently...) They REALLY have a problem with advertisement. They're even worse than Universal, from what I can see : I've always been an animated fan, though I have never heard of any of them when they were released. And, they've not been more successful with CGI either...(The Ant Bully, and?...)
