Yessss. I wonder if they did this, would they base it on the 6NA story with Mufasa and Taka?

(FYI: If you haven't read the 6NA, "Taka" was Scar's birth name. The story was a good background to the events of what took place in the beginning of TLK.)

That would be goooooooood. Much better than killing off Simba and Nala by focusing a story on Kovu and Kiara's children (if they have any, which IMO they shouldn't because they aren't rulers yet.).

I think the opposite really, the animation for 1 1/2 was really good IMO, they can't have it exactly like the first and second because of different animators, and at least they had the same voices.
With them telling the story of how they came into it was quite good I think and when they changed the channel it was for some humor.

Actually, I'm fully with Jenna. TLK 1 1/2 simply doesn't fit into the series and should never have been made under the TLK label. It kinda ruined the series. Though, I have to agree - the humor was great, it's an excellent slap stick production, making fun of TLK and other movies all the time. I specially enjoyed the scene introducing "The Good, The Bad And The Ugly" with Ennio Morricone's theme.

It however would just 'complete' the circle of life

But it's questionable how they could go further. It would be the same all over again, no matter how they turn the story.

In my opinion ,the second is worse than the first,and the third one(or one and a half one) is much worse,so I say no thanks.

NO, I don't think there ever will be a TLK3, if you watch the making of simba's pride on the DVD they say that TLK2 was just to show the story of the cub at the end of TLK1 and that not everyone was happy and about simba letting go of his past and just being able to rule as king that is why in TLK1 we see priderock mostly from just the one side and in TLK2 we see it from mostly the other side symbolising both sides of the story, light and dark, and TLK 1 & 1\2 was'nt really about the lion king that was about Timon and Pumbaa and not really part of the story, just another money-making scheme I guess.

There ARE three parts. The Lion King 1 is meant to be part one, The Lion King 1 1/2 is meant to be part two, and The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride is meant to be part three. (The DVD refers to it as the final chapter in the trilogy.) The best comparison with this trilogy would be Back to the Future (just in the way the story plays out.) I think if any movie related to The Lion King should be made, it should be about Timon and Pumbaa again. Due to the fact that The Lion King 1 1/2, and the Timon and Pumbaa series were both about them, Timon and Pumbaa actually have become the main characters now. They have FAR more screen time than Simba ever had. When you look at the whole thing, it's really more about them than Simba. These are the guys we're supposed to be rooting for. Simba's story clearly came to an end with The Lion King 2, but Timon and Pumbaa can have many more adventures without Simba.

TLK 1 1/2 was a great movie. The jokes were a bit old, but that doesn't matter! They had to animate the entire thing..do you know how long that takes??? do you? It takes tons of work..so give them credit!
