I will state it simply:


There are a disturbing number of noobs, who seem totally unwilling or unable to do their own freaking art, who are repeatedly (and frequently) posting bad and horrendously incomplete character designs and "art" submissions by coloring in some basic framework on the garbage website "Doll Divine".


It's annoying, it flies in the face of any of the fan artists who actually TRY on here, and it is like a plague. I just saw another today but I know that, if I identify it here, I'll catch flak for doing so.


ANYONE who uses Doll Divine to post characters or "art" submissions here ought to have those submissions deactivated, and they OUGHT to be warned. And, if they do so repeatedly, they ought to be banned.


I cannot possibly imagine ANYONE disagreeing with this.

It's lazy and unoriginal to use some dumb game/generator thing to make your characters.

If you're unable to think up of a character with your own brain power, then don't make a character at all.

People should report them whenever they see them. ANYTHING created with Doll Divine.

I agree with this as well, and I think it should go for the wolf generators as well. I've seen tons of those.

Yeah, I agree with this too. This site is about being creative with your designs, not picking an already-made design from a list and putting it onto a dog that you did not draw. It only proves that you do not want to take the time to learn how to design/draw characters on your own. Now if Doll Divine was used for designing purposes, but it won't be a final product because you're using it as a guide or tool, then that would be okay with me. But I feel like Doll Divine is a site made for little kids, not preteens/teens/adults, only because of the content. But I could be wrong, I've only been there twice in my Internet life.

I mean, it's fine if you use these things just for fun--after all, that's what they're meant for--but do you really have to post your finished thing? It's not creative, it's not unique, it's not artistic, ANYONE can do it--heck, give turn it on, sit a three-year-old in front of it, and give them the mouse and they could click the buttons just as easily. NO ONE is going to be interested in seeing the colored flash game results posted everywhere. NO ONE.

And using them to create your artworks and characters? Gimme a break. The former is obvious--it's not your art. You may think to put it in the image galleries, then, but they don't belong there any more than they belong in art. (Though neither do linearts, in my opinion. Would you really be interested in seeing a gallery full of nothing but colored-in coloring book pages? Nooooo! Same with linearts and these "makers" thing (and renders, for that matter, but we'll save that issue for another day.))

Just got done reporting two of these submitted by the same person. Both of them were basically this: Everything is open! Send in your bios! You know what I say? Grab your torch and pitchforks! lol

Something seriosuly needs to be done about that Dolldivine thing ASAP.

Ok, but in all seriousness. I saw those characters...saying "they need work" would be an understatement. The fact alone that neither were Balto-related is a strong enough reason for them to be reported/removed, but on top of that there was just NO real work put in to them. None. Nothing. Everything open and/or unknown, and teeny-tiny little chunks for the sections that actually matter in creating characters. Ugh.

I guess they were deactivated, because I'm not seeing anything more than the one that first brought this to light and resulted in my finally deciding to post this topic. Hm. Sorry I missed those...ironically. I should like to have had some say in the matter. lol


However, I just reported TWO MORE from another noob on this site. And I will keep reporting every single instance I find of Doll Divine-created characters or "art".

They are the easiest and completely unoriginal way to make character design. What bugs me the most are DollDivine adoptables. Why would I try to adopt something I can go and create myself?!
Uh, okay some people used DollDivines to make characters, but they would at least redraw the design or use a lineart later instead of posting a doll divine screenshot...

Precisely. At best, it should be used as a framework or reference...the colored-in blanks should not be posted here though.

If this "rule" will ever be applied, can it go for premade effect programs too? Like puting an image into frame, adding a few random effects etc. It requires no originality, effort and artistic knowledge neither.
