Anyone have a favorite? I used to read a lot of Garfield comics back in middle school but then I started to get into comics that were more violent like Hellboy, Spawn, Fables, JTHM, Crossed, and the short series Army of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes. Recently, I've been reading The Walking Dead and boy is it entertaining. It interesting how the characters strategize and react in a zombie Apocolypse. So if anyone even reads comics/graphic novels, let me know what's your favorite and why.

I'm not much of a comic book person, and my favorite isn't even on paper: it's only on the computer from what I know.

OFF-WHITE: a comic book-type story about wolves.

I have a few. In terms of comic strips:
Calvin and Hobbes
Garfield
Popeye
Zits
Peanuts

In terms of comic books/graphic novels, there's:
Spider-man
Spider-girl (yes, they do have such a series. I was reading it on htmlcomics.com until they closed the site and now I may never know how she got her powers back after that electric guy shorted them out)
Batman (although Spider-man would totally kick his butt)

That's about all that come to mind. Unless of course one counts two that I might not get away with naming here because of the whole rule about religious statements, so I'll just refer to them and Manga M and Manga B. If anyone wants to know what those are, just send me a PM.

I think my overall all time favorite is the Myth Adventures 2-part graphic novel, written by and based on the Myth Adventures novel by Robert Asprin, and illustrated by Phil Foglio. I'm pretty sure I've never laughed harder than while reading those graphic novels. And the artwork is magnificent, the style is perfect for the type of content.

Phil has put it online on his site now, as a serial, releasing a new page every other day. I highly, HIGHLY recommend that everybody go check it out.

And when you're done with that, check out Phil's other comics, like Buck Godot and especially Girl Genius which is his current project. It's almost indescribably good. Phil is a very talented man.

My favorites would have to be Spiderman comics and Maximum Ride graphic novels. The art in them are both beautiful and the stories are executed perfectly along with the pictures.

EDIT: I checked out OFF-WHITE, and it's really amazing! I really look forward to updates with that comic!

I recently checked out the Warriors comics (some call them manga, but if they are I would say they're a very subdued adaptation) and found them, if a bit melodramatic, certainly almost as enjoyable as the books themselves. Not quite as thick plot-wise, but good in their own right.
