I think the only way Universal could use that licence again, is to reboot Balto as a totally new CGI film...
That's what the industry does all the time, nowadays. (eg : Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers rebooted as a CGI film, who would have expected that?)

There's a CGI Chip and Dale movie? Nice.

Sad, but I like all three movies. Better three good movies than a bad remake.

Personally I think that the series should have just ended with the first movie. The second and third were unnecessary and weren't all that great.

I think a TV series - akin to the one that followed How to Train Your Dragon - would have been better all around. It would have made it easier to expand on the good ideas like Aleu's uniqueness and isolate the bad ones *coughStellacough*.

I disagree. While the HTTYD series may be good, not all TV series are. Taking into account that Balto II and Balto III were low budget films, I can only imagine how bad it could have been quality-wise (even though most are anyway) if Balto was made into a series.

I really wish they would make another ballot, but they ran out of money

They didn't run out of money, Universal just had no further interest in making anymore films.

Oh, I'm aware of that (I've seen every episode of All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series and the Land Before Time TV series. Need I say more?). Admittedly I'm speaking from a very idealistic perspective here, focusing on what could have been accomplished rather than what probably would have happened.

I don't think it's a bad thing that the Balto series ended. Actually, I think the sequels shouldn't have been made. Sure, I enjoyed them when I was little and I can enjoy them now and then, but they are not really good and were not made at a time when sequels meant quality (some are still bad nowadays, but we've seen very good sequels as well) and it's a shame that such a good movie got turned into this for money (which I don't think they really got  ).

I know fans often love the idea of more of what they like, I do as well, but sometimes it's best when there's nothing else than what is already there.

I'm gonna be honest. I'm kinda happy they aren't making any more. If they did try to further the Balto franchise; the more milked it gets, the faster people are going to get annoyed with it and...quite possibly, it could eventually garner a hate base as well..I mean do you really want that..? There's just no need to beat the dead horse anymore. "Save" Balto with your fanart, fiction and personal devotion. It's all you can do.

About the Balto series. Sure it's my favorite film. But I don't think there should be a sequel. Instead there should a prequel to the whole Balto series. That would be awesome. The reason I think there should be a prequel is because we don't know which one of Balto's parents are the wolf or the husky. We don't know how Balto got separated from his siblings. We don't know how he met Boris. We also don't know how Balto and Boris made it to Nome. We don't know when all of the dogs started bullying Balto. We don't when all the dogs or the whole town of Nome figured out that Balto was half wolf/husky. We don't know if Balto and Jenna always liked each other since when they were pups. We don't know how and when Balto and Boris met the two polar bear cubs Muk and Luk. The prequel would start from Balto's birth to the very beginning of the first film. Does anyone agree on me that this prequel would be cool if this ever happened?

Actually, that would be a neat idea!

Maybe I could submit that too Universal. Then we could a Balto prequel.
