My username has been around since before this site was even created, actually. I first joined a Narnia fansite (which I am still a member of) in 2003, and chose this username based on the recently-released Eragon book. In the book, Skulblaka is the Eragon language word for "Dragon", and "Shur'tugal" means Dragon Rider. So I decided on Skulblaka_Shur'tugal, to show that they are meant to be together and they always will be. I've never stopped loving Dragons and Eragon, so I've never felt a need to change my name. Nor, I think, will I ever.

Well considering I've had my fursona, Hunter, since way before I ever found this site, I think it's a given why that's apart of my username. When I first found this site, I'll admit that I didn't really think my username through and since I had no ideas, it was Balto_courage. I'm not the type to put '_ fan' because I honestly just think it's tacky, so I thought... well, Balto is courageous so yeah. After a while I got really tired of that username and I figured out you could change it, so I changed it to Hunterthewolf001, like my youtube account. And after a few ratings on the username topic, I realized it was way too common. Although the origins of my character Hunter seemed creative enough to me, no one else really knew that so I decided to make my username my own. I got rid of the numbers and 'the wolf' part altogether. I still keep the Hunter part because... well, obviously. I can't bear to part with that part of my username, but Moki comes from the nickname my friends in real life call me. I figured since Moki is what my real friends call me and Hunter is what my internet friends always called me, why not combine the two into one username? Now I used it whatever site I'm on, except for those I've been on before I decided to change on AS.

Imma bump topic. Really, this should be a sticky topic. Usernames are suffering!

I REALLY hate these Baltofan(insert your birth date here) usernames. Or usernames that are like iluvbalto4ever!!! These have to be the worst two examples of bad usernames. They are just too basic and boring. Speaking of, I just saw one. It went something like this (I didn't use the exact name). Balto and Jenna. Is that a username, or is someone trying to make a point?

I have no problem with putting character names in usernames as long as they aren't poorly put together. Like mine for example. It wasn't something that was thrown together in less than one second. iluvbalto4ever!!! is a username that is slapped together in a millisecond.

This is a great topic, even if posted in 2010, as is Clay's.

The first username I ever had I got when I was eight years old: nattycat8. Natty was my nickname (my real name is Natalie), I liked cats, and I was eight. I used it for a while on Neopets, but then my Neopets obsession faded and I forgot about the name.

Then at around age ten, I discovered Balto. I found BaltoSource online and became a "lurker" for about a year and a half before actually joining. In all that time, though, I'd fantasized about joining and tried to come up with a possible username. Most of what I came up with were pretty lame options that are pointed out as bad examples in both this topic and Clay's, Aleustar36 and, as seriously ashamed as I am to admit it, catwhohas13tails (an obvious and pathetic knock-off of Cat) were among them.

When the day came that I finally cranked up the courage to ask my parents for an account--and received approval--I had grown away from both of those usernames and any other that I'd come up with over time. It was then that I suddenly decided to resurrect my old Neopets username, though being eleven at the time I was under the impression that Is were cooler than Ys and changed the spelling to Natticat8. About another year after that, I again changed the spelling to Nattikat8 in order to represent my middle name, Kathryn. The 8 just kind of stuck. XD

And there you have it. :3 Overall, I'm very satisfied with this username and I think I'll be sticking with it for a long time yet, if not forever. 8D

I really love this topic :) I seriously find most (not all, however) Balto related usernames a little unoriginal, and fortunately I don't think I ever had one. However, my first few usernames have been extremely noobish, lol.

First, let's start with Furrinn_247, my first username pretty much everywhere. I made it due to the fact Furrinn was one of my first lioness characters, and also still fairly loved (I changed her a lot and made her much more realistic, though). I was creating noobish free fansites for my character and because it was all the rage, I wanted to add a certain number to it. After a bit of thinking 247 came to my head, and I actually didn't even think of the fact it means 24/7.
Then I deleted my account out of sheer stupidity and in fear that the username would be unavailable, without even testing it, I called myself Furrinn_247 (Furrinn), and after a while, went back to Furrinn_247.

Then I realized my username was horrible. I especially didn't like the numbers and it wasn't as personal to me. I changed it to Queen of Randomness, which was more or less an inside joke with my cousin. She was the Queen of Drama or something along the lines of that, and I was the Queen of Randomness, which I have to admit is pretty fitting :P
Nevertheless, I found out there are a bunch of people with similar usernames and out of fear of being mistaken, I decided to change it. If I recall correctly, I went back to Furrinn_247, AGAIN.

Then I thought of BizarreLilCreature. It all started with me signing up to a certain site about dogs (FurryPaws, likely) and out of boredom just typed this in as my username. However, the actual version was BizarreLittleCreature. I came to the realization that was quite fitting and incredibly entertaining to hear myself as. Bizarre was always one of my favorite words, haha. It's so odd. And then BizarreLittleCreature turned out to be too long so I shortened it to BizareLilCreature. I was satisfied, for a while.

But then the length of the username started to bother me. I was nicknamed Bizarre most of the time, and that's what I decided to keep my username as :P

Right now I'm considering changing it to Retro Waters (which is a pun on my name - L'eau (water) - Lo, Retro - Reta), but now that I think about it, Bizarre is so much more awesome, haha.

/ramble

Well, I guess you can say that my username has ALWAYS been a silent rebellion to the typical "dogsfurever369" types of usernames.

"Anaquine" came about from me misspelling "Aquarius" when I was little. (I thought the whole water thing was cool, and NO, that is not my zodiac sign. I actually find the whole zodiac thing kinda pointless. Ironic much?) Then, I decided to make an avatar for an online game -I couldn't remember the exact "spelling" for my misspell, so I shortened it to "Anaquine". Since then, I often use "Anaquine" for online stuff before abandoning them -so far, there have only been two cases where "Anaquine" was not available.

So, there you have it. I am "Anaquine" because I know no one else will be! xD
