Maybe you've heard about the upcoming video game "Epic Mickey" : viewtopic.php?f=4&t=27938&p=952776&hilit=epic+mickey#p952776

Warren Spector, the game creator, has posted some information and in his Disney collection, we can see that :

It's a Baloo figure?! O_O Lol, then again it shouldn't be surprising since he has a whole collection of Disney stuff XD

But... if Baloo appears in that unusual game... I've got nothing much to say since I know so little about Epic Mickey but this is going to be interesting to say the least. XD I hope we get to see the Sea Duck if that's the case.

Well, the fact he does have a figurine doesn't mean there will be anything related to Talespin in the game (there are very slight chances for this to happen) Well maybe Baloo will, but more because of the Jungle book (did Disney include him anywhere in the Kingdom hearts games? I don't think so)

But seeing destroyed / post-apocalyptic versions of the Sea duck, Higher for hire etc...would be kinda interesting, true

At least this shows the game is in good hands...

Yeah. Not some random developer who doesn't quite know where the originals are coming from (remembers Bionicle heroes... *shudders*)

Oh-my-gosh. I'm becoming more and more amazed.

Here's a little extract of one interview of Warren Spector :

Quote:
WS: Also, I want to do a Duck Tales game. Convince the world that a Duck Tales game needs to be made. I can’t convince anybody at Disney to let me do a Duck Tales game. How can that be?

GI: Everybody I know, when you ask about the cartoons that they are fond of from childhood, there’s that varying list of all the action ones, the G.I. Joes and the Transformers and the Thundercats and all that stuff, but everybody loves Duck Tales.

WS: Carl Barks really is the greatest American comic book writer and artist ever. Some people would say Will Eisner. There’s competition. But Carl Barks is the best, and he wrote and drew the stories that inspired half of those Duck Tales episodes, and they are watered down. You would not believe the beauty and the power of those stories. They’re not for kids. They’re really very adult or certainly appealing to the broadest possible audience, which is kind of where I want to be now. I don’t want to make games for kids, I don’t want to make games for gamers, I want to make games for everybody. I think if someone did Carl Barks or Duck Tales right, it would be awesome. Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge were Indiana Jones 50 years before Indy was a glimmer in Spielberg’s eyes. It’s just amazing, and they’re doing nothing with him right now.

GI: You can make that happen.

WS: Yeah, we’ll see. That’s a big organization to buck.

GI: But once you do Mickey, it all opens up, doesn’t it?

WS: We’ll see. I hope you’re right.

I'm really excited about Epic Mickey. My mom just put a Wii in lay away so I plan on getting the game as soon as it comes out. Having just recently gotten into DuckTales (I have the first two volumes on DVD and I totally love that show), I think it would be awesome if a DuckTales game was made. I would like to see how Warren Spector would bring such a project to life. And, while we're on the subject, I also think a DuckTales Source would be awesome, steet!
