Hey guys, I found a few similar topic's to this, but it wasn't about the actual books, they where concerning individual subjects. I just wanted to open up a discussion about on of my favourite books, Harry Potter, what do you think about it? Ever read it? What does it mean to you? I've only read the sixth and seventh book, since I've seen the other 6 Harry Potter films. For more information about the books, please visit: http://bloomsbury.com/harrypotter/

Harry Potter 1: Best book I've ever read. Still one of my Top 10.
Harry Potter 2: Good book, not as good as the first, though.
Harry Potter 3: Excellent book, a favourite.
Harry Potter 4: Worse.
Harry Potter 5: Even worse.
Harry Potter 6: Not worth reading, in my opinion =/
Harry Potter 7: Haven't read it - probably won't, either.
I'll be giving more detailed reviews tomorrow (I hope) - rather busy at the moment.
But I think the books beyond the third just became worse for every release, sorry :<

Lets see. The first book I thourougly enjoyed and grabbed my interest. I'm not normally inyo fantasy books but my cousin was rihhtwhen he said I'd enjoy this. The second book: Not quite as good as the first but it had its moments. The third I thourougy enjoyed and must be themost read book I have, My faiv from the series. The fourth, Ok but I was expecting more. The fifth I had to force myself through, This one had to be the low point in the HP series. The sixth one I was fine with,(though I must admit I skipped a couple of chapters that just bored me) The end wasnt half as climatic as I was expecting...I suppose

I expected Dumbledore to die a bit more dramaticcly The seventh: I expected less from this book after reading the previous ones and I wasnt dissapointed. I swear they spent half the book in that tent.

JerseyCaptain wrote: But fantasy which appeals to preteens and kids is hardly something worthy of serious attention. I believe it is for people of all ages. My mother reads them, my grandmother reads them and several others of my family read them and enjoy. Its certainly not the best in the world but its very good if you get past Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets.

I personaly love all the books. They were all amazing in my opinion. The tent thing was kind of annoying though. But other than that I thought they were excellent books for all ages. My step sister has read them all at least three times and is two years older then me, my step grandmother has read all of them and owns all of them, and I wouldn't be suprised if my actual grandmother had read them. My little brother and sister are both going to read them and they are 2 years younger than me. So I believe it's a book for all ages thet anyone could enjoy if they like a fantasy books. And Jersey Captain, the books are a lot different than the movies. Also a lot better.

Again with this anti-American garbage. You're reported again, Conay. Check your ***** attitude at the door. How was that anti-American? All I said that I hated the name change? What on Earth is wrong with that? EDIT:// I still see nothing wrong with my post. I was slacking JK, not America.
