I was just saying because the plot fits right for an anime! look at Wolf's Rain for example, no one likes wolves! and Lucky Star another example, Konata is always bullying some pink-haired girl just like Steele is to Balto! Mmmm...and that's just what was missing from the Balto cartoon...pink-furred wolves. Might as well give the sparkle dog/scene crowd some sense that what they do, in creating those horrid sparkley characters, isn't total garbage, right? Look, I'm not picking on you here. You're entitled to your wishes and your opinions. But I think you can see where this has gone. And I think the discussion probably has run its course. I forgot to add to my last post: Why would Japan care about Balto anyway? Well, it's possible they would care. The Japanese are no different than anyone else in being drawn to a dramatic or entertaining story. Certainly, if you delve into what interests the Japanese in entertainment, history, etc. you can find many instances when events elsewhere in the world, as well as some forms of entertainment, really catch on like wildfire over there. But to tear down the Balto movie(s) by making it (them) into either anime or manga? Dear God in Heaven, NO.

Are we talking about "anime" as in CGI animation? If so, I think Balto would take well from some modern computer animation.
And a tv show I wouldnt mind either, taking it as they didnt see making another sequel, so they made a series. As long as the show wasnt on Nick Jr., PBS, or Sprout. or that would be degrading.

It's not even popular among the public or in media and it just seems too ramdom. Ah.

Even if another country picked up it and ran with it, they would come to realize that it was waste of time much too late.
