Born: 1935

Personality:Sweet and is just an angel to everyone. Dewey can get a little wild though, and her master lets her out for long runs at night. Dewey is seen as a little edgy but otherwise she is a dainty girl who avoids most physical labor. Dewey does have some questionable habits around males. Usually flaunts her skinny body through town, and strikes posses for fun.

Relation: Bestest friend always xD

What do they think of Amelia?: She thinks Amelia is a total doll. Wants to chat with her all day but Dewey has to work at some point. She always wants Amelia to aim for the stars and she drags her around for 'girls day'. Dewey is a little needy with Amelia and likes to keep her away from Jude for her own selfish greed at times. Dewey will be super sweet to her though but can do some crazy things like mud wrestling. (Not in a competitive way though Dewey is too fragile for that.) Dewey and Amelia will play around a lot and strike awkward poses with each other just to make themselves laugh.

Other: Though Dewey doesn't see Indiana much and she isn't really that much older than him she does like to rub the fact that she is and wants him to call her his big cousin.

I will post later with my thoughts and critique on your other entries Rush when I'm on my laptop. (I'm on my iPod Touch.)

I wanted to go ahead and announce Dewey as a winner. I adore her personality and think that she's the perfect friend for Amelia. :3

(What's funny is that Amelia herself is very slim so strutting around making poses and having fun would definitely be Amelia. x3)

Gender: Male
Name: Baliff
Nicknames: -
Age: 4 Years
Born: September 6, 1932
Breed: Native American Indian Dog
Personality: Although Baliff may appear firm and warm on the outside, he’s quite the different individual on the inside. Qualities that shine through his exterior are friendliness, loyalty, and bravery, and while those may not be necessarily fake, he uses them as a poker face. The truth of the matter is that Baliff is strong towards others but quite fragile in and of himself. He is a freedom loving dog who uses his spare time to roam, because often he feels trapped otherwise.

Baliff wouldn’t hurt a soul unless he has to, and his temper is something seldom triggered by another individual. He’s a big fan on the thought process, and is quite the intelligent mind when given a chance to show it. He is good when it comes to strategy, which is handy considering he lacks in areas such as brute strength and cunning speed. He tends to over think things, though, and the loss of his human partner has forbid him from opening his heart to anyone anymore.

For the most part, Baliff keeps to himself, but every now and again he goes in search of his past buddies to remind himself that he is not entirely alone. Baliff, despite his warring internal state, likes to be happy. The best memories he has are those where he was free to do as he pleased and laughing the entire time. He is curious, adventurous, and if dare-said, spunky and excited at his very best. When he forgets about his problems, his warmth on the outside can sometimes conquer the ice on the inside.
History: Baliff came from a long line of Native American Indian dogs who were pacifists since the dawn of their domestication. His parents were some of the radicals, trying to choose between the modern world’s views and the more traditional way of thinking. In the end, they decided to go about teaching their pups by being the medians. They taught Baliff that he should never pick a fight himself, but if he was presented with an avoidable situation, it’d be best not to run.

These kind of teachings were a bit confusing at first, but Baliff learned his lesson after being bullied quite a few times in his younger years. When he finally stood up for himself, it felt good, and a split personality was planted within himself, as he fought against the need to be brave and the want to be free. At home, his father always encouraged him to follow his heart. His mother, though, continued to remind him that he should never feel vulnerable. It was these two triggers combined that activated his love for exploring, and his more adventurous and curious personality soon began to shine through.

Baliff soon grew into a pretty lithe individual. Between the neighborhood fights he had been forced to deal with since puphood and the miles of spelunking he did as a teenager, it was no surprise that his body was strong. He felt a need to service others soon after encountering a few males, who seemed to think that the world was theirs for the ruining. He had been on the outskirts of his home town, Nome, when he was met with these dogs. They claimed to be from the army, and while this confused Baliff, he decided that saving the female whom they were harassing was a more important matter to focus on. While he told her to escape, the lead male clamped his mouth shut, not letting go until the female at last ran in horror, and Baliff was left with an ugly scar that would stay there forever.

It was a little bit after this period of time that Baliff figured out what the dogs had finally meant when they had said the word ‘army’. He had just been heading to greet his parents after a long time without seeing them when he noticed a few planes flying overhead. He loved the sight and sound of them, and followed their trail until he arrived in a strange place. It was a lot full of strangely covered trucks and vehicles, and Baliff hopped on in his natural state of curiosity. It was there that he met Jude, a new war dog in training. He had shown Baliff his human partner, and after a long conversation concerning Baliff’s questions, the two became great friends, and Baliff thought he was ready to join in the war. Good thing, too, because they ended up in the army’s camp once the trucks reached their destination.

The generals were quick to assign him a human, seeing as he was a fit young dog with a lot of talent to offer. At first, he was simply just a bomb sniffing dog, with no real purpose. This bored Baliff, and he soon turned to the air nearly every time he was due to train. Noticing this, they promoted him to being a sort of co-pilot. His partner got changed in this process, and it was a decision that Baliff never regretted, because his new human partner, named Rick, was quite the best friend. Baliff and Rick grew incredibly close, and with Rick’s skills in navigating a plane and Baliff’s natural strategic blows once they got close enough to the ground, they became nearly unstoppable.

The worst day in Baliff’s life happened towards the later middle of the war, when his old friend Jude and his human partner, William, were to be escorted across enemy territory by his own partner, Rick. Rick was the most skilled pilot in the area in the current circumstances, so he was assigned to take the two over as quickly and as safely as possible. Baliff was told to stay put in the area, since added weight would only make the trip longer. Baliff reluctantly accepted this, receiving a promise from Rick that he would return soon. To prove it, he gave Baliff his avian goggles. Despite his brief happiness about this promise, Baliff eventually grew worried when he realized that it was taking a significant amount of time for his human to return.

Although he desperately wished to know what was happening with Rick, Jude, and William, he was needed where he was more, it seemed. This proved absolutely true not more than two days later, when the camp was attacked by a few rebels from the other side. He was caught in an explosion whilst saving another human, and in the crossfire, his ear was nearly torn off from his scalp. He was lucky enough that he woke up healed for the most part – his ear would never be straight again and would have permanent notches – but cared nothing about himself as soon as he was up enough to move.

Realizing that if the camp was in danger, Rick and Jude certainly would be in a lot more, Baliff went searching for them. What he found chilled him to the bone. He managed to find Jude and William alright, but they were wounded badly and were in the hospital for quite a while. One of the officers there wrapped Rick’s dog tags around Baliff’s tail, saying, “He would have wanted you to have this.” This confused Baliff to the point of madness until he finally realized what had happened. When Jude came to, he told Baliff about the plane wreck, and it became all too clear what had happened to Rick.

From then on, Baliff never allowed anyone to get close to him. He had come to the conclusion that anyone he got close to would only get hurt, and so his personality blew up out of proportion. He was generally warm, loyal, and terribly brave in times of crisis, and somehow he managed to keep his strategy level, but after a steady decline that happened over the period of another year, Baliff had had enough.
Jude had been discharged quite some time ago, and now Baliff felt all alone on this. He nearly died while on enemy grounds, as his back ankle was hit by a misaimed missile. It had been meant for the human he was assigned to protect, and after he too died, Baliff was finally discharged.

Upon coming home, Baliff was reunited with his best friend, Jude, who somehow manages to cheer him up a lot more often than Baliff would like to admit he deserves. From his time at war, Baliff’s soul had come into the heart of turmoil, but each and every time he found a way out of it through Jude’s antics. The simplest way to repay him came when Jude asked him if he could get a plane up and running for he and Amelia. Baliff managed to do so, showing Rick’s old dog tags to the local pilot in town.

To this day, you may see Baliff as the happy, curious dog he is. This is how he likes to be. When he remembers all his problems, his actions are quite different, though not noticeable to the uncomprehending eye. He seems like your average friendly dog, but he cannot bring himself to love. Not just yet, though he’s getting there little by little. He is still curious, adventurous, and willing to let himself be free for long periods at a time, even if the past may haunt him for miniscule moments at a time.
Relation: Jude's war (pilot dog) friend.
What he thinks of Jude: Baliff honestly thinks of Jude as his only best friend. Jude seems to be the only one who can lift his spirits these days, besides his family. With Jude and his family by Baliff's side, he is slowly beginning to rid himself of the terrible emotions the past's memories bring with it.

Honestly I LOVE Baliff Moki! :3 First off, his personality is detailed and I love how it has two sides to it. The history is very detailed and it makes sense with Jude's story. He is an automatic winner. <3 Thank you so much for entering Moki, and I shall update Jude's page very soon. ;3
