Ideas are (c) Windancer. Lenna's design is (c) wolf-prince, Jet's design is (c) anileu, and Tahki's design is (c) Rush---Introduction---Simply an idea I came up with that I thought could make an interesting story. While there will be quite a few somewhat descriptive fight scenes, there will be no cursing, or anything... inappropriate, to say the least. I would like to a give a quick thanks to everyone who helped with the characters and designing.
Hope you enjoy.
---Plot---With a possible World War III looming on the horizon, dogs are beginning to be genetically enhanced to have greater speed, strength, and endurance. Their senses have become a lot keener than the ordinary canine's, accompanied by elongated teeth and sharper claws.
The dogs are put through rigorous training programs to prepare them for the upcoming war. Many of the dogs are now just killing machines, having lost any of their former personality.
A female Tamaskan known as Tahki faintly remembers the world outside of her cage and training areas. She manages to convince her friend Jet to escape alongside her....but will they succeed?

"Jet, run
faster!" I panted, my amber eyes looking back at him anxiously. He shot me an aggravated look in reply, portraying none of the nerves I was experiencing. "I
am running," he replied, his powerful muscles rippling underneath his short, sleek fur as he easily passed by me. "See?"
Even while running for possibly our lives, he could be unbelievably annoying. The red light of a security camera caught my eye, and I knew it was only a matter of time before it was discovered we had escaped. Adrenaline lent wings to my paws, and we were soon alongside each other once more. Heavy footsteps made my heart race even faster, and my ears flicked back. "Run faster!" I repeated, snapping at him from stress. "They've seen us!"
"Calm down, Tahki. Focus. We'll get out of here," Jet said, looking ahead as he spoke. Even now, he sounded comepletely calm, though I could sense the energy roiling off of him. I nodded, keeping by doubts and fears to myself. My claws skittered against the tiled floor as we rounded a corner. I could see the exit ahead of us, the door looking solid and inescapable.
Jet sped up, and I could see him tense...right as he ran into the door. Surprisingly, the wood creaked as the hinges became loose. As he rammed it again with his powerful shoulder, the door swung outward, revealing a starry sky. I felt like cheering, but the sound of voices spouting nonsense commands reminded me we weren't free yet. I dashed past Jet, who was still looking a bit stunned from the impact. The door had been fairly thick.
"Come on!" I barked, slowing slightly. The rottweiler-mix shook his head to clear it, and followed in my lead, racing out of the building that had contained up both so long. I breathed in the night air deeply, eyes closing briefly in sheer delight; we were finally, finally free.
(I will post more later, but it's late right now.)
