Listen, in the past I haven't been terribly concerned with the "one topic per subject at a time" thing, but admittedly even I'm getting annoyed. Stick with one topic or the other, will you?

In a role-play I'm working on Dusty and Kodi come together. If they have puppies, I will make sure that some miserly character (whose name will be a portmanteau of everyone in this topic) tell Dusty and Kodi. "Congratulations on your puppies! They are kinda bland and ugly though. Just sayin."

It wouldn't necessarily take that much time if you think about it, though I think Kodi would be wise to look for another girl if she were that quick to change loyalties. How many times I've wished I had been so wise in high school.

But assuming the best of her, that she wouldn't rush straight from one guy to another, still presents little obstacle. They're young, after all, even by dog standards. They've got time.

I agree, Starfire, and I also question the notion that Kodi and Dusty, or anyone really, would be all career all the time. Pups or no pups, that's not the makings of a good relationship. I know I've pointed out before that the movie only showed a sampling, and a very selective sampling, of their lives.

Even if I prefer Dusty with Ralph, if Kodi ever did have pups with Kodi, they would probably turn out like Jenna's litter, some Kodi's dark red and Dusty's graybrown. Maybe with brown eyes scattered about the pups.

How the heck is that even possible?

And just as a note. Just because Jenna is red, and that her offspring are red, that doesn't mean that every puppy born will be red. The red color of a Husky is actually a recessive gene, and black coloration is dominate. So it could be possible for a red (copper/liver) colored Husky to have pups that are black.

Of course I know the Balto films don't factor in realistic genetics, but I do get tired of seeing fan litters of Jenna that are always red.

I'm not saying ALL of the pups will be red. Maybe the majority, because that's what happened with Balto and Jenna.
