Yeah I'll try to work on that. lol :)

"Raiu," Aisu said, turning to his older half brother. "I know of a small group of elk near the western border. They graze near the shore of a small creek at the base of Mt. McKinley."

"Well then," Raiu smirked. "What are we waitin' for? Let's go get the pack some dinner!"

"Amen to that!" Aisu agreed with a bright smile, heading off west into the forest. Raiu followed close behind as the two brothers headed west for Mt. McKinley.

”Aw. Ladies, are ya complaining?” Chauncey laughed from his position on top of the rock as the two females suddenly stopped in their tracks and whipped their heads back and forward to find the owner of the voice. The lone male whistled, “You-hoo, ladies. Up here,” and caught their attention. A smile pierced the loner’s face when he saw the fur on the scruff of the black wolf raise and she snarled in his direction. “Aw, don’t be like that, Miss. I heard ya two saying that your pack didn’t have that much food.”
Chauncey stood up, wincing slightly as he did so, and limped down the rock onto the ground where she stood a few feet from the two pack wolves. His stance was as relaxed as ever; he didn’t want the girls to get the impression that he was going to get all aggressive about them being intruders in his lands. “I can help, ya know.”

Helena and Fox had been talking about how horrible it was that there were dead wolves lying around the pack grounds. Helena knew starvation wasn’t a force to be reckoned with; she had seen wolves and pups of all ages die from it when the caribou herds moved south and hunters had raided her pack. It wasn’t pretty.
Her conversation with the younger tracker was interrupted by someone’s voice ripping through the serenity of the air around them; it was a male’s voice, the f=hunter could tell, but she had no idea where it had came from. The huge rock in front of her and Fox was bare, save for some moss creeping up its sides, but that was all. Frantically, Helena glanced around for the owner of the voice. She was about to yell, “Show yourself!” but the other whistled, which gave the two wolves a pinpoint location. Instantly, Helena’s hackles rose and she stared down the newcomer.

Fox wasn’t at all surprised by the appearance of this new wolf, but she was surprise by his appearance , how he looked: his fur was a mix of rusty reds, oranges, and pale creams. It was quite a lovely color combination in Fox’s eyes and she couldn’t help but smile slightly as he smirked down at her and Helena. However, the tracker’s smile faded and was replaced by an expression of slight shock when she saw the lone male limp down the rock side, his hind leg nearly dragging behind him.
He then told them that he heard them say that they were out in the woods to hunt, and that he could help. This was a surprise; no one had ever offered their help to the Dark Shadow’s pack before…but Fox was no fool. She was sure he wanted something in return for his services. “No,” the tracker wolf said. “No thank you, Sir. We are perfectly capable of hunting our own food, thank you.”

Raiu and Aisu then returned after roughly half an hour, dragging a large adult elk into the pack grounds. They dragged the kill into the den, then headed back outside. They joined their alpha, wanting to greet the newcomer, Wanderer.

Chauncey's expression dropped a bit, but the loner quickly smirked. "Really?" he asked and -cautiously- took a few more steps closer to the two females. He was on his toes, ready for anything -especially that black wolf who was eyeing him so sternly. The lone wolf swallowed hard and looked back at the orange-brown wolf who had acted so much more kinder toward him.
"Two girls hunting by themselves?" he tsk before stopping and sitting down with a plop in the grass. "Y'know it's kind of a dangerous world out here." There was a bit of a tease in Chauncey's voice; he made sure they both heard that and the smaller wolf in front of him smiled a bit, catching onto his little joke. The bigger one snorted, but Chauncey could care less about her. "And, seriously, I really can help you. There's a small herd of caribou to the west of us. I tried to take one of 'em down on my own, but I ended up hurting my leg..."

Helena finally spoke, and there was a very annoyed edge to her voice: "And so you want us to help you. Not the other way around." That was more of a statement than a question -like the Dark Shadow's guard had intended. She glared down with an eerily hard expression that clearly said, 'You have ten seconds to run...ten...nine...'

"No, no, no, that is not what I'm sayin'!" Chauncey rose to his feet, a look of dread washed over him. The loner stumbled back a few steps before adding, "I was telling you where there was some food at! I've heard about two packs in this area before: the Mountain Creek Pack and the Dark Shadows Pack." He paused when he saw the sudden, yet only slightly surprised, looks in the girls' eyes when he said the last pack's name. 'Could they...Nah.'
"A-anyway, those two packs are starvin' and dyin' off every day, so I was gonna give you two ladies directions to where the caribou herd was." The lone wolf's expression dropped and he huffed, rising to an upright position and turning his back to the Dark Shadows' wolves. Chauncey limped off, not even glancing over his shoulder as he said, "Jeesh, and here I was trying to play the nice guy to you damsels in distress. Well since you wanna jump to conclusions Missy, you two can have a great time finding the herd yourself."

Fox couldn't believe her eyes; they had ran into this hope sent from above in the form of a shaggy, injured legged wolf -who was yet somehow charming to her- but thanks to Helena's attitude, he was leaving! "W-wait!" Fox's feet were moving before she herself knew it and the young wolf was right behind the loner. He looked over his shoulder at her, one eyebrow raised over his nonchalant-filled eyes. "Hm?"
"I-I'm sorry for Helena's statement, but we're from the Dark Shadows Pack and we need food. Desperately!" The huntress sighed and lowered her eyes. "There has not been any successful hunts in over a month now and our wolves are dying off so quickly..." She looked up to see that the lone male had turned to fully face her, that smirk playing at his lips again. "Can you please show us where the herd is?"
Fox could practically feel Helena's irritated glare burrowing into her back at how desperate she sounded; Fox knew Helena herself would never beg for someone -especially a lone wolf who she didn't even know- to help lead her to food for her pack. The guard would have just took the chance of finding food herself. Fox looked away from the male and focused her eyes back on the ground. She wished that she had a strong attitude and personality and be more like her friend. But, then again, Fox wasn't Helena. Nor would she ever be her.

Wanderer sniffed, she lifted her head and saw Raiu and Aisu. "Who are who?" she growled.

Raiu cocked his head to the side, a bit offended that Wonderer had growled at them. What had they done? How rude, he thought.

Aisu, on the contrary, remained patient, and greeted Wonderer with a kind smile.

"Good day, Wonderer." Aisu said friendlily. "My name is Aisu, and this is my older brother Raiu."

"Pleasure to meet you." Raiu nodded.

"We are members of this pack." Aisu continued. "Our Alpha told us you were coming, and we just wanted to give you a warm welcome."

Wanderer scoffed. "I don't have time to play with you omegas." Frost laughed. "I like you...." she rolled over and continued to laugh.

Aisu lowered his ears, offended by Wonderer's harsh comment. Raiu growled, his fur bristling.

"Don't talk to my brother that way! What's your problem?!" Raiu snapped. "We were kind enough to welcome you, you don't have to be rude about it and INSULT us. And for your information, we are NOT Omegas. We are BETAS. In fact, I am the Beta Male."

"Raiu, please calm down." Aisu said. "That is no way to speak to a newcomer."

"I don't care! I will NOT stand for being insulted when I was trying to be kind!" Raiu growled, then turned back to Wonderer and scoffed back at her, mocking what she had just said to them with an upset and offended tone. "I don't have time for your insolence, she wolf."

That said, Raiu turned around and stormed off, blowing steam through his nostrils.

Oh, dear. Aisu thought to himself. Sighing, he turned and went after his brother.
