There's a new book out that focuses mainly on Leonhard Seppala. Written by renowned Siberian Husky historians. It covers other people and events as well in areas such as the history of the Siberian Husky breed, the serum runs, and the early dog races in Alaska and New England. Only available through the publisher. Notice Balto on the front cover on a team driven by Leonhard Seppala. http://pictorialhistoriespublishing.com ... Yukon.html

If anyone has purchased this book notice there's another photo of Balto in the book (pg. 73) also shown in a swing position on a Pioneer Mining Co. team in the early 1920's. Fox (a Fritz brother) is the co-leader.

At this time the book is only available from the publisher and is listed towards the bottom of the left column at the following link. http://pictorialhistoriespublishing.com ... rder3.htmlI'm guessing that as time goes on it will probably be available on a more widespread basis.

That was my general game plan (assuming that, as you suggest, they don't have it initially). We can hope.

Has anyone had an opportunity to read this book yet? It would be interesting to have a discussion about some of the history, such as Victor Anderson's claim that Suggen was not the father of Togo.
