Hello all! As this is my first time posting a topic I should probally let you know it will most likely be really bad but I'm going to try my best to come up with a good and thought-provoking topic!

Okay, one thing I've always noticed is that Steele and Niju are very alike. I mean, apart from the obvious similarity, them both being the main antagonists in the film they also are the same in many other ways...

1. They both have three dogs/wolves that follow them around. One of them is always fat and one of them is always kind of a goofball. In the end their trio turns good.

2. They both have similar markings.

3. They both use to be really popular.

4. They both were very stuborn and wanted to be leaders.

5. They both fell, Steele fell down a cliff and Niju fell into water.

6. The hero of the film got what the antagonist wanted, lead dog, clan leader.

Niju and Yak had some similar appearances too. I didn't notice until someone drew Yak slimmer and less mangy, but one would have to wonder if they're brothers or at least cousins.

Not very likely they're brothers seeing as every one of Nijju's followers had an accent he himself lacked xDD

Unless you want to get into possibilities that they were sseeppeerraatteedd when they were yyoouunngg or some other detail the movie makers didn't think about xD

Technically not all of them had that. There was at least one wolf in the pack - one who sided with Niju, to be specific - who didn't have an accent. But I see your point.

Of course in the natural order of things, they would have been brothers. In a regular wolf pack, all the wolves are siblings except for the alphas. But then, fictional packs rarely follow that dynamic.

Who didn't have an accent? O_o Out of Sumac, Yak, and Nuk, all of them had (something resembling) Russian accents.

I would have named him if he had one of which I knew. There was a brown wolf in the movie who had no stated name. He's the one I mean. And I think there might have been a couple more.

Oh yea that one. No I mean as far as his named lackeys go.

Well, in that regard I must agree. And, since I was referring to the possibility of him being related to Yak, I suppose anyone else is just academic anyway.

I don't see Niju as the main antagonist, in comparisson towards Steele. In my opinion is Niju just a bittered guy who doesn't like change.

He was still a villain, if one judges by his actions - at best, he was an antihero; his attitude and intentions were far from heroic, except in his own eyes. Really, he and Steele were both motivated to hurt others, and to lead companions in so doing, out of a ersonal vice. Steele's was pride, Niju's was fear.

I agree. Niju wasn't really a 'villain' - he just seemed to be a pain in the butt towards the pack Steele was determined to get what he wanted - and this drove him to do everything he did to try and get it.

Niju was a very weak villain, but that was no surprise coming from such a weak film. Steele was powerful and strong, and very intelligent and cunning. He was simply EVIL. Niju wasn't evil... just annoying. xD

I think that they thought this intentionally because they think Steele wasn't enough so, they made a wolf version him. Steele and Niju have differnet markings their eyes have different patch of colors.

Yeah they are both the Bad guys!
