"" A good atmosphere - The shout boxes are places where members like to discuse and take good times. If you're not in a good mood, you're upset or sad and you need to talk to someone, please, make it by PM. Your quarrels or rant can break the good atmosphere and make the others unconfortable."
I'm not going to name any names, but I can't help but notice that users are entering the shoutbox just to express their sorrow over something that's bothering them. Clearly, as I quoted above, this is actually against the rules, yet mods fail to reinforce this rule (most of this seems to take place in the early morning hours for me, and there are never any mods on at that time. But sometimes I do see this happening when mods are present). I know, and I have, reported users for acting this way in the shoutbox, but I think this rule needs to be made more aware of. I think maybe it's time that a news was posted to remind users that AS isn't a place to come and talk about your personal problems."pity-me-box-t36435.html
Unfortunately, despite the efforts made by Draco, I'm still seeing a lot of this "pity me" (specifically one user who always seems to be upset about something) stuff going on in the shoutbox. And the sad thing is, when mods are in the box, they allow for it to happen. If efforts are going to be made to stop this kind of behavior, then
ALL of the mods need to be on the same page.
