Hi, welcome to my topic. Thanks for taking your time to read this.

This topic is just for sending in photos of Pomeranians and telling me your opinion on them. If you also own a pom, please send in some photos of them and tell me it's personality.

Thankyou!

I agree with JC. Pomeranians are only fashion material and not a good type of behavior against other strangers. They may look hansome though, but they are such a handful.

JC: I will admitt, i agree. If i ever had a Pomeranian, i would have it as a pet, not a fashion accessorie, i think that is cruel. I deffinetly agree, if owners just use them for fashion and not be stern with them, then they go nuts straight away and know that whatever they will do, they won't be corrected. I look forward to going on holiday to ingoldmels every year because i search for Pomeranians but to tell you the truth, out of the four Pomeranians i saw, only one of them was calm around humans and over dogs, i loved it, that is how they should be brought up, then the real beauty and personality shines through them. One of them was nuts and was going for my aunty but the owner didn't correct it, she just said something like: Oh she isn't nice around people.

It is a shame that people breed dogs and change their appearance, it is cruelty. Like Cavelier king Charles Spaniels, their brain is too big for their skulls and they have fits. Like Alsations, if you look closely you can see that their body goes down to a slant.

I absoloutely hate Pomeranians and other breeds when they never stop barking and aren't in a calm state of mind around other things. But it is how they are brought up, not how the breed naturally is. Hope you understand.

Thankyou so much for commenting and letting me know your opinion. :D

I'm not really into Pomeranians. Like Sepp said, they tend to be aggressive and yappy. I imagine there coats are hard to care for aswell. There cute, but that's all about it.

Far as I know there naturally yappy. Like beagles howl. I can witness that one.

Long time no see Mighty, thanks for commenting. Well i first knew that they even existed about 3 years ago when i seen them on a T.V show called Crufts, and i fell in love with them straight away. They seemed loyal and loved their owner more than anything, i think that is why they tend to be aggressive towards other things. But all Pomeranians are different, they have their own unique style and personality, that is sort of like saying that all humans are cruel and are aggressive towards eachother. I believe that it is how you bring them up and if they had been brought up around other dogs and people. I have a Pomeranian book that gives you info about them and they are a nice breed really.
Yes, i will admitt that most of them are yappy, and out of the 4 Pomeranians i saw on my holiday it was only 2 that were calm around other things, the others i just seen in a car or were nuts around things and their owners didn't correct them.

I wouldn't just have them for fashion or to show off, i just want one for a pet. But i bet the fur coat is a lot to care for and people just use that to show them off.

I hate most small dogs when they have a peircing yappy bark, but it is just because they are small. Some of the teachers in my school take the Mick out of me for liking Pomeranians, they call them little rats. They shouldn't judge things by how they look. I want to get one when i am older and to prove to them that not all Pomeranians aren't yappy and stuff. Their appearance has changed a lot over the many years and i think their personality has changed with it too.

Thanks for letting me know your opinion pal. :D

They're cute, no doubt... but I have to agree w/ a lot of JC's points. And it seems most cute, small dogs suffer the same 'disease' :P Poms, yorkies, chihuahuas, shih tzus... I've seen them all and been overwhelmingly exasperated by them all x.X

I've known -one- pom though who was really quiet and sweet... he came in as a stray where I worked and we adopted him out to a family w/ three other dogs.. the four of the dogs ended up having to board w/ us for at least a couple of months because the family's house caught fire. So we took care of them, one Samoyed (?) mix, and three poms. The Samoyed was quiet and a bit shy; 2 of the poms, who were brothers, were absolutely nuts, off the wall hyper, didn't know commands, would go out to pee and end up just wrestling and gnawing on each other, would yap and snarl walking by any dog outside the family, but were actually quite good w/ people; then there was fat, tiny old Duncan <3 Couldn't care less about other dogs, loved human attention, hardly yapped at all.. my only criticism was his weight & slightly nasty backside :P

I don't remember where my anecdote was going anymore.. I suppose the moral is "some pomeranians are nice" or something... ***** interruptions >,<
