He gave her a look as if she had completely lost any sanity she'd once had, but he did give a carefree shrug. "Why not? When your windows fog, that's what you do." He explained drawing a face with sunglasses on his fogged window as he looked back at her and smiled. "I think you need some sleep, babe."

"No," Vanessa argued, refusing to believe that it had only been coincidence. She didn't know how, but Griffin new something, something, and he wasn't telling her. "No, you... you... and, and it...." She had no idea what she was trying to say or how to communicate it, and she slowly let her incoherent sentence drift off. "Never mind," she muttered, turning around and going back inside her car without another word.

Griffin walked back to her car and stood at the window, leaning over to look in at her. "Ness..." His eyes wavered as if debating on speaking or not. "Are you okay..?" He forced himself to ask softly, drifting away from his original thoughts and words.

"Yes," Nessa said immediately, though as she continued to stare out the window without looking at Griffin, she added with a sigh, "Sort of...no..." She didn't know why she was finally admitted it, but maybe if Griffin really did know something about what had happened tonight, he could explain away everything.

"I knew something was bugging you. Its been written on your face all night." He knew something was bothering her, and he knew what that something was, but he felt no need to share that information, unless it became painfully clear that she had to know.

Ooc:// lol sure, I need to finish dinner atm then I will ^^'

"Well that's always comforting to know," Vanessa said sarcastically, still unwilling to actually look at Griffin. She was afraid that if she did, everything would come spilling out of her mouth. "I love being an open book."

Ooc:// Awesome!

"You're not typically an open book, but what's on your mind?" He asked his face turning serious. "C'mon Ness... What's wrong?" He urged softly.

"What isn't wrong?" Nessa retorted, sinking farther down in her seat and absentmindedly toying with edge of the steering wheel. "My non-existent home-life sucks and now I am possibly going insane." She didn't speak too much, still not accustomed to talking about her feelings or her problems.

"Oh.. I'm sorry.." He murrmured softly. He then looked at her, not in a curious way, almost like.. He knew. "...What would be driving you insane? Too much attention from a dashing quarterback?" He asked, his face falling some at mention of Brandon. He hated the blonde jock for more reasons than just trying to steal away Vanessa.

"Brandon?" Nessa said, having completely forgotten about everything that had happened at school at day. Those few hours seemed like a life-time ago now. "No, no, Brandon's... fine." She couldn't help but smile a bit at remembering the tickets she had in her bag. Quickly, she brought her mind back to the present. "It's just that some... strange things have been going on tonight."

Griffin couldn't help but grin. "Strange things?" He couldn't help but smile holding back laughter. "Like what? Has big bad Nessa been out hunting bigfoot? Bite off a little more than you could chew, and was spooked off by a oppossum?" He grinned his usual sarcastic and teasing smirk. He knew what was wrong. It was only a matter of time before he'd have to admit it, or atleast come up with a excuse to explain it away.

Ooc:// Grr, sorry for the long pause. Working five days a week leaves the creative mind rather blank...

Bic:// "It wasn't an opossum!" Nessa couldn't help might get defensive in the face of Griffin's teasing. She hated when people inferred that she was weak, even in the light-heartedness of a joke. "It was something big and-and... and, well, canine-ish..." Nessa didn't know how to explain the creature without sounding like a lunatic, but she now desperately wanted to prove that it had been something of substantial size that had scared her, not just a nighttime rodent.

Ooc:// Aww, lol its okay, I got hit with writer's block the last couple of weeks ^^'

Griffin grinned and slapped both hands on his cheeks. "By any chance: was it a dog? A little girl downtown is missing her Pomeranian!" He grinned. He felt the need to continue to push her buttons. If she was going to get so hateful he should atleast give her a reason for doing so. "Or was it maybe the Boogyman? Or a wolfman!" He forced a teasing tone but was being serious, he grinned and tossed his head back to give a poorly executed howl. He then looked back at her, grinning as he stood up on his tip-toes to increase his height. He raised his arms and started growling playfully, lumbering toward her awkwardly.

Nessa felt completely insulted at Griffin's teasing, feeling even more stupid for thinking she could seriously confined in him or, even more of an idiotic notion, that Griffin new something about the creature Nessa had seen earlier. "You really make me wonder I even bother telling your anything," she muttered pointedly, quickly switching her engine on again and reversing her car back onto the road, narrowly missing Griffin as she sped away back towards town.

Ooc:// I'll timeskip to their next school day I guess? Lol I want more interaction between Brandon/Sophie/Ness and the addition of the "class president"character xD

The next day at school, since it was friday, it was study hall for the upperclassmen. Meaning they could waste three whole class periods. Most students where off to get lunch so they could eat as they lazed around. Griffin however walked down the hall along the lockers stopping when he got to the locker he recognized as Vanessa's. He took a folded peice of notebook paper and pushed it into the locker, beneath the locker door. He noticed more students coming so he turned and hurried off.

The Note read, in Griffin's messy hand writing:
Nessa, I'm sorry about everything that happened last night.
P.S. I don't know if you ever called the police about that drunk driver... But
you're welcome...
