This is a good point, and I do believe that, while not noted in either film, they may both be of some sort of Afghan-ish Hound, due to markings and looks.
But no one is certain, as it may just be the hair that makes them look similar.

And really, you never know. Rita could be an Irish Setter, or part one. Some breeds have a certain amount of wiggle room in appearance, especially when you throw in grooming habits. For example, Sasha expressed a passing interest in making sure she looked good in one or two episodes of the series (in Magical Misery Tour, for instance, she referred to getting her fur done). Rita, on the other hand, strikes me subjectively as enough of a stray (for want of a better way to put it) that one might guess she cared very little about how she looked, perhaps to the extent of deliberately mis-grooming herself, as it were.

It, does say that, she is an Irish Setter, but I've seen a lot of people who say she is a Saluki.

Killer was the saluki. Sasha has been confriemd as a setter. As for Rita, I'll say she's your classic mixed breed. Possibly setter mixed with afgan. Althou that...hair style?....is common on most animated female dogs, mostly disney. Millionaie Dogs...I think its called...has a dog too with the same style hair/ear combo.

Sasha is an Irish Setter and Rita is an Afghan Hound :3
There are a lot of female dogs with similar hairstyles and could easily be categorized as the same breed (like Dixie from Fox and the Hound 2, who I think is supposed to be either an Irish Setter or a Golden Retriever)

Well, I noticed also that both dogs look similar. However, in Oliver & Company, most of the dogs are mutts. So she could very possibly be a mix. Sasha, however, was probably most likely an Irish Setter like everyone else said X3
Rita's a bit different story, though, if you ask me.
