She sounded like a fangirl? I'm sorry, PrinceKovu, but no fangirl would devote themselves to someone the way Zira devoted herself to Scar. Only a mate would go as far as Zira did. But, yes, you're correct. Everyone has a right to their opinion.

Not saying they didn't make a great couple, but couldn't have simply the sheer insanity drove her to do what she did in the second movie? All in all, it was a smart effort, but an effort that needed more thought than she had given it, not to mention she could've most likely taken Rock if she had waited longer, or simply chipped away at Simba's Stronghold, or whatever you want to refer it to. I think this was as close as a war between clans of Lions could get to.

Oh, and to the creator of this thread--can I ask where you got that image? It looks very much so from a book (duh *Facepalm*). I suspected they had made books like that for the second actual movie of Lion King, but I never actually saw them anywhere.

You're wrong. Kovu is NOT Scar's son, just because the two were mates.

Could go either way on that, because Scar and Zira were mates, may have meant that Kovu was Scar's son, but the first-born son (I can't remember his name) does mention that Kovu wasn't Scar's actual son. All he really said is that apparently Kovu was taken in by Scar, but then again--that could've just been a clever rouse so he didn't know the truth. Why it would matter if he knew the truth, I'm not sure. Then again I could just as easily be incorrect, but I thought I saw something in the book mentioning this (the page you linked to).

As far as the movies go, there is no actual proof that Zira and Scar were mates. Just as there is no proof that Nuka or Vitani were the cubs of Scar. (And it was stated a few times that Kovu is not Scar's son).

Just because Zira was crazy for Scar doesn't mean they were mates. Maybe she was just that - crazy for him. Just because it said that in a book doesn't make it so. Not unless the directors of the movie themselves say it.

Zira seemed mentally stable to me. She doesn't have mania or depression or anything. She's ust irritable and her underlings are rpone to make her angry, much like Scar.

Does that mean Scar is insane too? No, so why should Zira have to be?

Anyway about the mate things: Zira and Scar raise Kovu as their child for a time, and part of being a mte in social animals is raising of the resulting young. Zira has been revealed as NOT Kovu's mother by Darell recently, via a message sent on Facebook, and their relationship(Zira and Scar's) was purposely obscured.



They have a relationship, it's just unclear what it is, however Kovu's relation to either of them was obliterated.

(Since this has been brought up I want to touch on this now).

Ever seen the Harry Potter movies? Bellatrix is completely obsessed with Voldemort and is willing to do literally anything he wants her to do. To devote herself completely to him. But they had nothing going on. Replace the names Bellatrix with "Zira" and Voldemort with "Scar" and it's the same thing.
