To start from the very beginning, I would have to say that this book instantly caught my attention with the Prologue. Although this did leave me a little disappointed that we never read from Shelby's point of view again, I thought this little look into her wolfish mind says a lot about her personality even as a human. I was happy to see more into her character through out this book, and even as evil as she is, I loved her complex and mostly scary personality. I hate her in such a way that almost makes me love her, though I am glad that she got what she deserved.

Moving on to Grace. As always, I see so much of myself in this character, the logical thinking and passion for keeping what she loves. I never felt closer to this character than when the very end. "For all that I loved being a wolf, I loved being Grace more." I think that just sums up Grace's character right there.

Sam finally conquers his fear of bathtubs! Yay! I loved this moment where Sam finally decides he doesn't want to be scared anymore, and then he isn't. But that is the way fear works, so I though it was perfect. His new song "Still Waking Up" is even better than "Summer Girl" and I can't wait for people to stop coming out with tunes to this song. I always love listening to what the fans think I song should sound like. Also, the shower scene between Sam and Grace was too cute! I loved how Sam was all nervous and awkward and Graces was like "Whatever. No big deal." I am extremenly happy that they never officailly got engaged as well. There are way to many plot lines with young teens thinking about marriage nowadays. It's nice how Sam kind of promised Grace that he would propose to her with the leave ring, but honestly, they are too young to be planning a wedding. Get a life and then get a ring, please.

Cole St. Clair, I am in love with you! (Just wanted to get that out of the way) When Cole and Sam were singing in the woods, oh my, I thought I was going to die from laughter. They have such a strange brotherly relationship where its "I don't like you, but you're family and I guess I have to deal with you" sort of deal. Also, my reaction to Cole's little spurt of noble self-sacrifice mirrors Isabel's. "You scared the sh*t out of me!" I don't think I have ever cried so hard over a book, not even Harry Potter. I seriously thought he was dead and I had many choice words for Maggie Stiefvater that I won't repeat.

Isabel, you little spoiled brat, I am so glad you finally did something! Throughout this book, I got so made at Isabel who basically found out that something horrible was happening, told Same and Cole, and said "Deal with it." And when they coudn't figure out a good plan, she got mad at them! Oh, Isabel, why didn't you think of something?! When she was standing by the side of the road just wathcing Cole get shot down, I was literally shouting at her to go do something, anything! And she did! Also, I love her and Cole together. The lab scene was so sweet and strange at the same time, but I loved every second of it. But, Maggie, why is most of chapter 58 a blank page?! Details, woman, I like to know exact details!

Olivia is dead... never expected that...

Oh, Rachel, so untrusting of "the boy" all of sudden? Just get in the dang car! Anyways, I love this character so much has she reminds of all my friends if they were put into one character. She is the exact reason why I feel so similar to Grace, because our best friends are exactly the same.

Koenig is a main character? What?! This was such a strange and sudden plot trust that at first it was too much for my little mind to manage. I knew there was a reason I like him in Shiver, and now I know why. He is just so... awkward and generous and good. I wish the police men in my town were just like him.

And, finally, Beck. Such a complex character with a hidden past that we never really understand. I am amazed that Sam took Beck's death so well, though I was too pre-occupied with Cole to really comprehend that Beck was dead. Still, I think Beck made some mistakes in life that he couldn't undo, though he tried his hardest to make up for them.

In short, this whole book was filled with surprises, and I think it ended well. It wasn't a "And they all lives happily ever after" ending, but it suited the story by being filled with the promise that there is more story after the last sentence, we just don't happen to know it.

I slightly expected it, but I was so happy that Cole made it! <3 Really sad about Beck though. And Olivia. DX

OMG I was so happy about it too xD I thought "No...Cole can't die D8 you can't let him die dangit!" but, luckily, he made it xD Cole St. Clair is too awesome to be killed by Isabel's father haha xD
I really wasn't expecting to see Olivia killed, I knew that Shelby was weird, odd and insane but I wasn't expecting to see Olivia killed by her OO and Beck too D: I hoped that he would arrive safe with the others
