OOc: Hey guys! Soo sorry about not unpausing until now, I got a bit side tracked. Ok, so when Ariel finishes telling Kat about the Pride and all that jazz, I'd like everyone to skip to night time. Also, Just a friendly reminder to take a peek at the front page every so often for updates! I will also be uploading a map of the large wooded area where most of the RP takes place and a map of the Den asap. Thanks guys!

Ariel pulled up her sleeve on her pea coat to reveal the Mark. She put a hand on Kat's shoulder, "I'm going to make this quick and simple... well, for the most part. You see this sun?" she pointed to her wrist, "You have the same mark on your wrist. You were born with it, as was Kolt, and myself, and a few others. This is the Mark of the Pride. You are a were-lion, specifically selected by the higher beings to be in the Pride. The Pride is an elaborate group of were-lions who see to it that the inhabitants of the world are protected from the many dangers invisible to the naked eye." She pulled her sleeve down as a small, chilly gust of wind breeze through the park, causing the leaves on the trees and shrubs to shiver. She turned to look at her car as Kolt put Henry in. "Listen, you don't have to join the Pride, but it is ideal, what with you having the mark the specifically symbolizes the Pride. I should probably go take care of Henry before he spews last nights lasagna all over the black leather interior of my car. Here, call me when you finish processing the info I just gave you, or if you need anything. " And with that she handed Kat a card and headed for her car.

Buckling up and closing her door, Ariel looked into the back seat, where a sickly and exhausted Henry lay. He looked as though he was about to pass out. She grabbed a water bottle out of a blue cooler in the passenger seat. "Hey, drink this, slowly. It'll help. You're staying at my house tonight, just so you know." She backed out of the parking space and began to drive home as the warm colors of the sunset splashed across the sky like a forgotten paradise.

Brian made his way through the dense forest, still in his anthro form from earlier. He was on his way to see Ichabod, his practical brother, who was stationed in Schattern Meadow, and try to talk him into going with him to investigate the demonic reports. He looked about as the sun vanished between the trees as night fell. He smiled and picked up his pace a bit, but slowed again as he caught the faint smell of another were. It smelled feline, definitely male, but very unfamiliar. Brian looked in the direction that the smell was coming from. He could hear the faint patter of an approaching stranger against the forest floor, along with the occasional snap of a twig or dead leaf. He waited.

Duncan really enjoyed running through the forest. Its not something he does much so he tried to make the best out of it. He wasn't going to let anything stop him not even another animal who he usually tries not to frighten. He wasn't paying attention to the smells so he kept running trying to make his route as challenging as possible. He was enjoying himself till he suddenly stopped in his tracks. He was far enough away from the problem. This was trouble though he is right behind a human. 'How stupid could I be' was the only thought that ran through Duncan's head. He got down as close to the ground as he could hoping his stripes would come in handy.

The young man lolled his head on his shoulders as he was given a water. He couldn't really talk much, but managed an "Okay, go..." His head pounded horribly, his vision swimming with black, hypnotic, dots. Henry brough the water to his chaped lips and started gulping it gratefully. The cool water felt like a kick to the gut as soon as it entered his stomach. He winced at the pain slightly, but kept drinking.

OOc: Do we want to keep this RP going?

OOC: I wouldn't mind it going.

OOc: Well, if all else fails this can go private between you and I Jett. But lets try to keep it afloat here. Also, Jett, Brian isn't in human form, he's in his anthro form so he still smells(and looks) like a lion. I also have really bed WB right now :/

Brian's ears perked as he heard the other feline stop behind him. His whiskers twitched. He turned to face Duncan, who was about five feet away, allowing his fur and mane to fluff up some to make him look bigger. He took a few steps forward, looked down at Duncan, and spoke in his smoothest, yet most intimidating voice possible, "Stop trying to hide, I can smell and see you. Who are you and where are you going?" He could smell the slightest hint of fear coming off of the crouching tiger.

Ariel pulled into her driveway and poked at Henry. "C'mon kid. Were here."

OOC: ok that sounds pretty good.

Duncan slowly stood up. "I am Duncan, and I was just out for a run. Who are you?" Duncan tried to sound more confident in his words by pronouncing them clearly. He knew it probably didn't work.

Brian allowed his fur to settle, still looking down on the tiger. "Brian. I am a protector of the forest." He crossed his arms and took another step forward twords Duncan.

Duncan stepped back when Brain stepped closer. "Hmph...that sounds pretty official if I do say so myself. How does on become a 'Protector of the forest', and why do we need a protector of the forest?" Duncan knew of other weres' but not of all of this protector of the forest stuff. Why was he never informed?
