The Pride

Plot:
There is a small town, surrounded by a very large wooded ares. In said town lives a girl. Her name is Kathrine. Kathrine is, or rather was, an ordinary teenage girl with a practically perfect life. Nice house, amazing boyfriend, and an awesome family. On her 15th birthday, however, she was confronted by a beautiful, sleek woman by the name of Ariel, an event which would change her life. Ariel told her of a strange group, a pride of were-lions. She told of unknown magics in the forest, and of dark things, things that were the were-lions responsibility to take care of. She also described a mark, the same mark that Kathrine was born with on her wrist. This was the Mark of the Pride.

Notes:
-There ARE were-lions who are NOT born with the Mark of the Pride.
-The charries age slower and slower as they got older, as to prolong their lives, so they live to be about 170 year old. After the age of 65 their looks change only slightly over the years, but from about 14-65 they only look a year older every 3 years.
-Charries have both an anthro-animal form and a regular animal(aka feral) form. You DO NOT need to post their anthro form because it looks exactly like their regular animal form, just with a different body structure.
-The woodland area that this takes place is HUGE!
-The Pride's 'Den' is an actual cave in the woods with multiple corridors and rooms. It is a very complex structure, and is easy to get lost in. The main entrance is hidden by the branches of a very thick and large willow tree that sits on top of the "hill" which the cave is in.
-Some charries may live in a room in the Pride's Den (generally the were-loins) , others can have their own houses, apartments, etc.
-Though the Pride Den is the main base for the Pride members, there are members who are stationed throughout the forest.

Personality: Henry is very blunt and hot-headed. Up until he found that he was a were-lion, Henry was a rebelious teen. After finding out what he was Henry became very secretive and attempted to controll his temper. His temper does get away from him but he rarely turns lion unless he gets pissed. He is rather quiet now and hasn't spoken in years.

Bio: Henry had found out that he was a were-lion when he was simply 15 years old. He was never a kid that took full responsibility for anything so he refused to believe what he was one. He had found out he was a were-lion when one day he had lost his temper after he found out his step-father had and was beating his mother. Henry didn't remember much, only that when he woke up both of his step-dad and mom were dead. Henry didn't understand what he was, so he assumed that he must be destroyed. Being a were-lion he found it difficult when the cuts on his wrists would heal in mere seconds and broken bones in simple days. When he turned 16 he had killed 6 people, all of which had pissed him off enough to make him kill them. Henry wished for death and thought he was the only of his kind. When he turned 17 Henry was sure that death was to come, he hadn't eaten nor drank in monthes but he still lingered. One day he stumbled upon and woman who could transform into a lion too. He never met her but is always around where she is, studying her, learning about what he is from a distance.

Other: Since Were-Lions don't age until after they stop transforming he still looks 15.

Ariel shivered and pulled her black pea coat shut as a strong gust of autumn wind blew through the park. The wind sent leaves swirling about the fountain in the middle of the park in a peculiar motion. The trees swayed softly, and then it was calm. A slight breeze was still blowing, but it was hardly enough to blow Ariel's hair about. There was a certain energy in the air... a certain excitement, anticipation. A new Pride member. She had a very vague idea of who she was looking for. A young female. Thats about all she knew. But she would know when she saw her, or smelled her was a more accurate. The scent difference between a human and a were in human form was very slight, yet distinct. She would still have to look for the mark though. She could smell some weres walking about the park, mixed in with the small crowd if humans. The Mark of the Pride was the only true way to tell who the girl was.

Kolt and Scarlet were sitting on a small wooden bench in that very same park. The newly wed couple were holding hands while watching people walk by and play with frisbees and footballs. Scarlet took her hand out of Kolts and then pushed up his long sleeve shirt so she could look at his tattoo, "Does it still hurt?" She asked before poking at it. "Yeah." Kolt replied pulling his arm towards him. "What about yours?" He said before poking at her tattoo. "Hey!" She whined pushing his shoulder with her hand. Kolt giggled before putting his arm around Scarlet and hugging her closer.

A silent figure ghosted from tree to tree in a local park. In the shadows his face was blurred and unclear; his scrappy clothes did not rustle in the autumn breeze. He did not make a sound, not his rapid low breathing or his carefully placed footsteps. The figure kept a close eye on a girl he had learned of a few short months ago. This girl's name was Ariel, he had learned. And this one girl had the ability that he too possessed. She could transform into a lion. But she did whenever she felt she needed. The figure had wished that he could have this type of discipline. But the only time he would transform was when he lost his temper. The figure snarled in distaste of recent events. All the lives he had accidentally taken. All the times his temper flared. The figure glanced around at other park-goers. A young couple as seated on the other side of the park, they nuzzled each other and pointed at each others' wrists giggling after. The figure cringed at this type of affection. He revealed a set of glimmering white teeth in distaste and glared at a mother and son staring at him. This figure looked shady, suspicious, one that you wouldn’t want lurking around a park. His shaggy hair was matted and tangled, the planes on his face were worn and tired, and his clothes were dark and ripped. The figure glanced over his shoulder letting a sparkling ray of sun expose his face. This figure, was Henry T. Bennett.

Kolt stood up and grabbed Scarlet's hand to guide her to stand up from the bench, "Why don't we go walk in the bush area of the park?" He suggested guiding his spouse towards the trees. "Oh I get you. Get away from all the people." She said before holding Kolts hand tightly and walking towards the trees with him. She spotted a mother and child looking into the trees, "Hey what are they staring at?" She said pointing with her and Kolt's hands that were still together.
